ukrainian national guard had entered town Boucha one day before poorly staged video, see it yourself, there's no waving hands dummies, no distressed civilians, nothing special, clearing roads of damaged vehicles, probably used as a cover. https://t.me/Mikle1On/926

Hundreds of dead civilians all over the city, some previously kidnapped by Russians. Some in mass graves, some burned to ashes, some shot down in their cars. Tons of witnesses. Lots of data confirming it, including satellite images.

Weirdo's comment on all that::

It must be convenient to live in pro-Putin fairy tales!

Your army never kills civilians! When you invade a country, everyone loves you!

Some really mean people say that you kidnap Ukrainians , but the truth is that you bring Ukrainians to Russia (the best country ever), Ukrainians are so happy that they completly forget to communicate with their less lucky relatives and friends.

There is a small problem. And everyone understands about it. The problem is that the Russian military forces, together with the DPR and LPR militia, left Bucha on March 30 and the Armed Forces of Ukraine came there on March 31, but all the "evidence" of crimes appeared only on April 4. Moreover, there are white bandages on parts of the bodies, and there are no corpse spots, as well as the blood is not very clotted. That's exactly the problem, why England, as the current chairman of the UN Security Council, is delaying in every possible way the convening of an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.

There is only one problem - russians trying to invent some excuses for their atrocities. Like, lying that evidence appeared only on april 4, or saying that England delaying meeting. You lie so much and then you're surprised nobody believes you anymore.

Permalink

I'm sorry, but it's a recognized fact about England. So this cannot be attributed to a lie.
Well, at least you don't have to come up with excuses for the atrocities of Azov, as well as the refusal to comply with the Geneva Convention on prisoners. Although they don't invent it there either, but I post these atrocities that even those who are negatively inclined are already forced to say that this is bad.

I don't know what you are trying to achieve here by posting this video.

Yes, there were ultra-nationalistic parties, politicians, and even neo-Nazi units (f.e. "Azov") in Ukraine. This is a fact and no one argues with this, not even ukrainians. But, first of all, since 2014, "Azov" was reformed, ardent nationalism was banned; those who disagreed with the new policy were excluded, and criminal cases were opened against the military involved in war crimes against russian soldiers. Secondly, the leader of the “Right Sector” (also mentioned in your video) received less than 0.7% in the 2014 elections, and in 2019 he even lost his seat in the Verkhovna Rada. Also in 2019, Oleh Lyashko's Radical Party lost all their seats in parliament. Thus, not a single nationalist party got into the Rada. Doesn't look like nationalism and fascism were that popular in Ukraine, right?

Also, it's outdated narrative.
Тимофей Сергейцев Russian propagandist, did de facto say recently that the "denazification" is in fact "deukrainization" (and also "deuropeanization"). This is the proper term to describe Russia's true motives.

Denazification will inevitably also be a de-Ukrainization - a rejection of the large-scale artificial inflation of the ethnic component of self-identification of the population of the territories of historical Little Russia and New Russia, begun by the Soviet authorities. [auto translate]
RIA Novosti

This is obviously, a copycat of Nazi Germany propaganda. Agenda that is reminenscent of Nazi "Final Solution", but Nazi Russia aims it at Ukrainians this time.

If this is what you Russian war mongers advocate then you should have a decency to name it by its real name - Deukrainization conducted by Nazi Russia.

You're missing the point here. All those claims are only to excuse what is happening, but such things can not be excused. Russia is acting like Nazi Germany. Your leader was surprisingly open about it, claiming there is no Ukrainian nation at all. Deukrainization is an execution of this idea & your soldiers seem to live by it.

Also you're holding on to propaganda materials, while the history of Russian "strategies" in other conflicts just show the pattern. You can read my comment here. This proves the obvious, Russians are destroying whole cities, killing innocent civilians on the pretence of "denazification", which is just a cover up for their true Nazi-like goal "deukrainization".

Greece, Cyprus and Israel to expand energy cooperation amid Ukraine war | Reuters

His country, Greece, has teamed up with Cyprus and Israel to build a natural gas transportation route that does not involve Russia. That relationship has just been strengthened.
It is now a major partner in building the future logistics that Ukraine wants to see.
For example, the...
A world economy that does not need Russia.
Or, it is a transportation time reduction activity so that Germany does not need Russian natural gas.

I mean from one side I wouldnt really blame the people - as Ive already stated in other comments it feels like some people just need to be on opposing side. That`s why we hear "supporting the next thing" etc once we support UA. They will more identify with info that will go against majority. The whole west is against RUS right now. And here comes in these people who feel they just have to be against that to feel better so they identify with news from RUS...

As I stated previously, Latvia is switching off gas from RUS as well along with Lithuania and Estonia and for the next week there might be some decisions on this plan to lessen dependency on RUS gas. But we still have people who stay knowingly arrogant to what`s going on in UA and continue to paddle the same sentences "whatabout USA; Nazi Zelensky is at fault; NATO pushed RUS into it" and others.. In their point of view everything we say is fake because its what majority believes in

That is one way to think about it.

Simply to the extent that I think some people are posting without checking those posts after viewing what has so far been determined to be "fake news".
There are many people in the world who do not even care about the politics of their own country.
There are also violent peace-seekers who would like to live in peace, if possible, without regard to their country or its politics.

So basically, unless they are "gentlemen" on "Guideline" or their actions are in serious violation of the terms and conditions, I don't force them to reply and see what happens.
I think the old part of this "discussion" is about the frequent smear and harassment postings on SMS in general on the Internet in the early days of the Ukrainian war, and the situation that followed.
Basically, the unfortunate characteristic of such manipulations is that they do things to break off the "communication between human beings," such as "not making conversation," "calling the same thing over and over again," for example, "shut up" or "look in the mirror. .......

It is similar to what you find in religious organizations and totalitarian countries.

https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/22WImTI

The story related to these was ridden with detailed explanations when I traced it back to the source in the fake news case the other day.
Just an FYI that there are stories like this.

Actually, I don't think Stalin was so bad as a dictator. Unlike Putin, he didn't live in luxury, he didn't use power for some personal gain, neither did he give any preference to his friends or reatives. Stalin didn't use speechwriters and didn't hide behind his PR team. He really stood for his words and explained his position detail in countless articles. He wasn't afraid to admit his mistakes. And he really turned an underdeveloped agrarian country into a modern industrial superpower.

It was not decided yet so I would not go out of the line and issue any suspensions for it.

But no amount of creativity will help if it happens. Switching plain swastika on someone's avatar to soldier running with swastika flag is not smart thing to do. Especially that avatar suspension is permanent - until someone changes image to something that doesn't break the rules. Not possible to wait out few days with short suspension and go back into forum with avatar that breaks the rules.

I see propaganda with you is strong. Please remind me what happened in Ukraine during ww2? How many jews, polaks, russians were exterminated by your loving heroes? Is Bandera still your national hero? Mikheil Saakashvili, now that's a beauty. Can you tell me something about how on earth did he become Odessa governor, being born in Georgia, ex Georgian president that fled to US and all? Aren't there any capable Ukrainians to govern Odessa? And why is his salary almost 200k $ per year that is funded by the US? Also under USSR regime everyone was equally subject to the same kind of difficulties except the ones that were inside the power structure of the party. Wasn't Leonid Brezhnev Ukrainian? What about Nikita Khrushchev? Yet they both where general secretaries of the USSR. How about all those people that burned alive in trade union building fleeing from Ukrainian pro maidan right wingers and searching refuge in 2014? I heard it was welcomed with applause on Ukrainian national tv station. There is a beauty of a video on the internet where senator Lindsey Graham visits Azov battalion, giving them a welcomed warmongering speech against Russia. moral support and whispering in their ears sweet nothings. Now that was hilarious. I can go on for days, brother. But my conclusion is that you are either a paid propaganda bot, simply a liar or very susceptible guy. Either way its of no importance. I would implore everyone and anyone to not believe everything. I would even go further and say do not believe anything and nobody. Not me and certainly not this guy. Steer clear of these kind of chats, main stream media reports or any information source that is fishy. Do your own research as much as you can, learn to think for yourself and do not form early conclusions just because its in trend, or you read something that was convenient for you at the time etc. I will conclude with great words from the great Edgar A. Poe. “Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see.” Especially now, in this day and age, where we are bombarded with misinformation left and right, day and night.

Your statement doesn't make sense at all. I'm not a supporter of communism and that by de facto means that I can't be supporter of Stalin. Even without that, Stalin can't be my national hero because me and Stalin aren't same nationality. So I really don't know where you got that picture. Probably from not knowing how to properly read or think. Nowhere did I imply that I love killings of women and children or any of that nonsense. On the contrary I explicitly indicated tens of thousands, if not hundred of thousands, victims of national socialist groups in western Ukraine that welcomed German invaders during WW2 as liberators. I also indicated killings of innocent pro Russia Ukrainian people inside burning trade union building that was celebrated by the likeminded groups. Your problem is that you can't look at people without separating them in this or that group, you need to have an enemy to exist. Just like Nato needs external threat constantly to justify its existence. Going against a statement that communist regime is equally brutal to anyone who opposes it, regardless of their nationality, religion, skin color or anything, just shows how deluded and angry you are. Again I will repeat my question, weren't Brezhnev and Khrushchev ethnically Ukrainians? You don't know that because you probably didn't read a single book in your life. Go on, google it, I know you will. :)

I didn't attribute anything to you, like at all, but merely asked a few innocent questions that I know for a fact don't align with your current goal. That provoked you so hard that you couldn't resist your usual scripted response by playing on emotions and hurling baseless claims about a person you don't know at all. Instead of, lets say, discrediting me by answering at least some of the questions I posed. I think that would be more convincing way of showing people how I'm "full of hated".

You are not very bright nor mannered, I see. I will repeat myself yet again, maybe you can catch it this time. I didn't attribute anything specifically to you, I didn't express any feelings about Ukrainian people in general, I didn't make any assumptions based on prejudice or preconception. I merely asked a few questions about things that actually happened, that aren't figment of people imaginations and that are, simply put, a fact. On the other hand we can see from your previous replies that you are the actual one who generalize people by labeling them as Russian zombies and conspiracy theorists if they do not succumb to your influence of thought and aren't part of your perception of the court of public opinion. Of course, all in hope to quickly shame them in public and discredit their arguments without breaking a sweat. You are a total and utter hypocrite that can't write a levelheaded sentence, even if your life depends on it. Continue copy/pasting useless media outlets. You are the real hero of this situation.

There is no other way to see your comment as to finding excuses for Russia to invade Ukraine and I totally understand why Q would sort of snap at you. This is on the same level as saying "But USA attacked .............". Yes they did and it in no way lessens what's been done now.

The war didn't have to happen. What do you want to point out here ? That UA has fucked up political system ? Does that justify what has been done ? It doesn't and that's why these "suggestions" of analyzing all the info are pretty much useless here - of course everyone should be wary of random stuff on the internet and should do their research and take none of whats in this thread at face value. Did you really think you are some superior genius whos the only one figuring this out ? It has absolutely no point but all edge.

From one side, of course - thank you for posting another source and opinion. But the simple truth is - Russia overstepped any boundary by this war and what they have done. At this point they need to be stopped and UA actually liberated from what it's being plagued by. Propaganda or not, Russia has occupied another country which is not acceptable.

Sorry if I'm coming off aggressive or something, don't take it personal, but living near Russia and being surrounded by brainwashed Russians who praise USSR and Putin really makes your perception of these "neutral" observes sound like dicks.

No worries my man. I don't take these things personally as my friend from above. Well that is a thing. I'm not trying to find any excuses for Russia at all. I'm just tired of these kind of people with attributes of a bot that nonstop spam media links at people that may or may not be true, or may be partially true, yet when you try to discredit their claims or simply disagree with them they get all salty and bad mannered all of a sudden. If you not share my opinion you must be with them. you must be a communist, Russian bot, conspiracy theorist, fascist, nazi etc. They don't know how to properly respond so they hurl insults and baseless insinuations at you hoping that will be it. That's their natural response in these victimhood trendy times. And he didn't sort of snap on me, he really snapped at me which is comical. If I can't get a single truthful and reasoned response from him at least I got a little chuckle.

What I wanted to point out there is that OP is not neutral, that OP may or probably is constantly spreading propaganda and is really emotional when challenged even a little. That people shouldn't trust him so easily. As for your suggestion of me thinking that I'm a genius that just figured this thing out... That's silly. Of course not, even tho sometimes a guy can really get a false feeling of importance by noticing and simply indicating things that should be fairly obvious that they shouldn't even be mentioned.

Truth is never simple, my friend. Things are not as black and white as we like to often think and imagine. We don't live in a perfect world where everything is either a truth or a lie, there is a certain gray area that is often most critical and determining factor in realizing something for what it is. Putin didn't one day simply wake up on the wrong side of his bed and gone mad and all ham on Ukraine, as it is very often suggested by the Western outlets and politicians. In these days invading someone isn't a easy thing to pull off and is not something you would take as lightly as you did few hundreds years back. Russian Federation must have had a reason to do it and that is clearly a fact. Is that reason because Putin wants to expand Russia's territory, does he want natural or agricultural resources Ukraine have, does he want to form new military bases on its territory, were his intentions to really help suffering Russian populace in Eastern Ukraine that felt threatened by rising ultra nationalistic and fascist groups in the west of the country or is he coerced by US and NATO do so, were Ukrainians seduced by the false promises of the US that gave them wings to openly go against Russia? War is a dangerous thing, today especially, when multiple sides have nuclear weapons and cold war basically never stopped nor it will in foreseeable future. War is bad, killing innocent people is bad, destroying their homes and appropriating their land and valuables is bad and I truly believe 99% of the people honestly share my opinion. Yet in every war exactly same happens. I'm not arguing a war. I'm arguing a hypocrisy, I'm arguing the reasons, often easily and nonchalantly falsified, for which war started at all, not the war itself.

Not to mention expansion of NATO towards Russian borders starting from 1990', that's what you truly should be critiquing and calling out. Not just you, everyone. You don't come closer and closer, over the years, to a wounded bear that has nuclear weapons. You might piss him off or he might feel threatened and paranoically press that little red button that you are afraid of in the first place.

Also a little question. Why didn't we see the same exact reactions from media and the people as we are seeing now when Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yugoslavia and many other "situations" happened? I know you said that yes they did happen and that in no way these situations lessen what's been done now. I would suggest a completely different way of thinking. It actually is lessening a situation that Ukraine is currently in because these other places that were war torn and ravaged weren't worth fighting for, protesting for or making charitable foundations for. Only Ukraine is, all of a sudden. Few years back we didn't give a flying duck about these other places but now we really do, we must stand against it and stop it at all costs. Don't you see a little bit of disconnect? Why should we care about Ukraine now when all these other places have been through much worse and nobody offered a helping hand, not even a nice word? Is it because this time Russia did it and is hindering plans of our US masters so we must be recruited asap and follow commands of our masters blindly?

and

It's really not that weird when you put them in context. That's what this new generation of internet warriors and activists severely lacks or intentionally omits to include.
I merely mentioned these kind of ideas primarily to test the waters with the guy I was conversing with, to get to know him a little bit better. Secondly I explicitly said that I answered in the same manner as him, meaning that I literary mimicked his way of conversing and name calling other people who don't agree with him. He called a very well versed and based in facts documentary a Russian propaganda, I insinuated he is a Western propagandist.
Even if that was true, what you just insinuated, you failed to spot a logical fallacy in your statement. My claims were not baseless. I have spoken nicely to him, nothing insulting or controversial, just asked him a few questions which are fairly easy to answer. In the very next reply he basically called me a Russian zombie, conspiracy theorist, somehow managed to concoct that I spread ethnic hatred based on a insinuations and what not.. A total looney tune of an answer. I didn't call him out because he doesn't share my opinions, I called him out because he acted like a woman on her period, all emotional and angry with me, hurling insults and bad insinuations, when I just asked him a few simple questions that he easily could have answered, or choose not to? and be done with it. But no salty boy must screech and press violently buttons on his keyboard like true internet warrior, a true modern day hero of Ukraine and its people.

So there is no failure on my end, no matter how you try to spin it. And you are right, you indeed shouldn't bother me because your failure to read and understand the situation told me more than enough about your sincerity and comprehension abilities.

Anyways watch Ukraine on Fire if you have any interest in this topic. That's all I wanted to do in this thread. But propagandist bot couldn't resist not to call it a Putin propaganda, even if it was created by Oliver Stone.

There is NO other perspective to war and invasion. You either invade or not, and that's it. If there were peace and we argued "what is better, Ukraine or Russia" - then yes, you could have indeed bring up issues of Ukraine in this argument. But current situation is that russians are ruthless invaders, and ukrainians just protect their home. No internal issues can change this fact. So, you are just looking for excuses for war crimes, and that's it. Of course you, as the rest of russians, will never admit that what you do is wrong.

Of course OP is not neutral. He is Ukrainian and I can assure you I would want to see the whole Russia suffer if my country would be occupied by them.

Yes - of course Putin and his party had plans of this beforehand. Which makes it even more horrible. He didn't go on a whim and "underestimated" results. He very well knew what war costs - counting Russians lives as well as Ukrainian lives. War is not an answer. Any reason he had that was valid could have been solved by diplomacy. Let's indulge in the cesspit of lies from Russia a bit - let's say UA had been oppressing Russian citizens. I know the idea is ridiculous - but how about instead of sacrificing young boys from your own population, invest the money in building a new city and offering ways to move to Russia huh ? Build up your own economy, save all the poor Russians. Now every smart person is leaving Russia, people have died and the result is complete shitshow. If Putin thought a war is better then solving stuff diplomatically then he is stupid piece of shit, which I doubt he is, so the war had lot more deeper reasons which IMO includes RUS failing domestic political situation and his influence as well as delusional dreams of USSR.

As for NATO - all in all this argument is pretty flawed. I really dont want to get into details because I dont think you or anyone else opposing west will care either way, but in short - NATO is not a country for starters. If bunch of countries on your border wants to join an organization that protects them against you, then the problem is in you not them. Secondly Russia had only Baltics bordering them, so being surrounded by NATO in itself is flawed argument. Its simply an easy excuse for Putin that many will back up because this has been of course a risk since NATO started that has been recognized by NATO itself. I wont deny dirty politics and some influence from NATO that caused all of this.... but basing the war on this is ... well... stupid

As for other conflicts around the world - I'll be blunt.... they where not in fact worth fighting for, protesting or supporting. Humans are self-centered and arrogant. We don't care for whats going on on the other side of the world. Ukraine is an eye opener for many. It's not just USA (which for the record I consider a fucked up country, so Im not some west loving troll) that has had a free reign on war crimes. You want to say Russia is less barbaric around middle east and Africa ? Then you truly live in Putins propaganda wonderland. Wagner group already has 300 civilians killed on their rep in Mali while UA war is going on. Hear anyone talk about that ? Of course not. Russian war crimes around the world are as hidden as is USA's and I would hardly call supporting UA a hypocrosy.

Russia obviously has even longer tradition of imperialism. Some argue that Putin actually looks up to Tsarist empire & its idea of Great Russia over somehow failed project of Soviet "empire" - which in the end was yet another form of imperialism despite it sworn fight with worldwide imperialism. Apparently it doesn't stop him from using Soviet methods in attempts to achieve his goals too.

I don't care which side he is on. I care about his honesty, diligence and integrity. He lacks all of those. He doesn't believe the words he speaking or he simply doesn't know what he is speaking about. I even think he isn't able to speak properly. Everything is fake with these kind of people, they don't believe in anything and will believe everything if its presented the way they like it. As I said multiple times already, he is , bluntly put, a simple propagandist robot, a copy/paste machine of bbc news links.

Again you are insinuating that Putin and his "party", whatever that means, had plans of this and many other things beforehand. By saying party you are, again baselessly suggesting RF is led by communist regime where the boss is Putin, I guess? Total wild claim. And yes, the job of country leaders is to access situations, plan their actions and predict future events, prepare for those future events and eventually effectively execute their plans. Shocker, right? War always has costs and if you truly believe that he wasn't aware of those costs or that he wanted his people to die I don't know what to say. You do realize that Russia was trying diplomacy for the last 8 years? Something tells me you can't come that easily with solutions when your counterparts are admirers of national socialism and ethnically clean Ukraine... What should he have done? Let Russian people in the east be sacrificed like lambs in Old Testament? Don't be naive and gullible.
Again you go with these wild ideas of Russians simply moving to Russia and leaving Ukraine. I don't know if I even should gratify that with an actual answer. Let's all black people that are in the US move back to Africa, or latinos to Central/ South America.. Lets move all gypsies back to India or whatever place they originated from, lets move all of the jews from Europe and NA back to Middle East. Your dreamlike propositions are ridiculous and laughable. Anyways, your complete negligence of US influence in this region over the last few decades baffles me. Tell me how did the US react when Russia had nuclear weapons in Cuba? Do you think that even a possibility of having nuclear warheads near a country would make that country afraid, prone to aggressive reactions? Well Ukraine is certainly a possibility where nukes could be placed, only 800 km or so away from Moscow.

My argument is not flawed, like, not at all. Nato of course is not a country but an organization funded and controlled by the US. Do you really believe all these countries joined an military organization just because they are afraid of Russia? Frist of all, Russia was in shambles after decomposition of USSR in 1990 and was in no way threat to anyone. What exactly happened when USSR ceased to exist? NATO was formed under promises it wont expand further East, the lines were clear. US almost instantly broke these promises and started expanding even tho they knew that closer they come to Russian borders the situation will be worse. Not just for them but for the whole world. All of these countries joined NATO, not because they were threatened by Russia or any of that but because they gained certain benefits otherwise they wouldn't have. They also joined NATO because they felt threatened by the exact same NATO if another conflict breaks out and they remain a land of the non-aligned in the middle of it. NATO basically came to their borders and what do you do when something like that happens? YOU JOIN THEM IF YOU CAN, AS QUCIKLY AS YOU CAN. Also many European countries, especially ones in the Eastern Europe, wanted to join European Union and NATO not because they share their European values, military threats or anything ridiculous like that, but because EU granted them economical reliefs, benefits and trade opportunities they otherwise wouldn't have and condition for that was to let their military build bases and place nukes on your land pointed at Russia. It was basically a promise of an easy money for no work at all, by just joining them.

The thing is that US war crimes around the world aren't hidden at all and that is a big problem for them and for the propagandist bots. Many things are getting uncovered and people are continuously left in disbelief. There is no comparison to US in that regard, not by a long shot. Even thinking that would be reaching it, extremely reaching it. And why is Ukraine exactly an eye opener for all and not all those other places? Try to ask yourself that question truthfully and don't get salty when you come to an conclusion. Wouldn't Western globalized propaganda have a hand in that?
Also what are you talking about? Literary every single western media is talking about Wagner Groups alleged killings in Mali bro. It is an open season at Russia after all. I truly think you need to get your head out of your ass and start critically thinking about both sides. It may sound like I'm here to defend Russia, but that is just my reaction to all the stuff you just spew in defense of Ukraine, West, Nato, EU and ultimately of US. Otherwise if I didn't do that we would seem to agree, yet in that situation we would both swallow a large portion of lies and propaganda West is continuously and overtime pushing onto us these days.

Nice edit. No worries I will wholeheartedly respond to this as well. You are seriously getting salty because I suggested to people that they shouldn't believe anything you say but rather think and search for themselves? That's so classy and highly academic response man, nothing but respect. Oh, by the way I didn't see anything that you previously presented in your post and comments, that is not from a western or western influenced media outlets and that doesn't fit your narrative. The OP was talking about USSR so I think it was quite necessary to mention WW2, clown.

The same goes with new media reports you are waving around. You can write anything you want and present them however you want." Are they true, weeeeeeeeeeell... that's not really important, you should explicitly trust them and trust me. See the title, see pictures it must be true... We never had a problem in our history with propaganda, photoshopped pictures, faked videos and plain lying." That's how you sound. Delusional, emotional and extremely angry.

Tell me kind sir are you an eye witness of this particular crimes of the "Putin's Army"? Who are the people that are lying down there dead, what are their names? What are the names of the soldiers that executed them? From which weapons bullets were fired? Do you have any actual proof besides news report and a few pictures? Twitter bans US Marine for questioning Ukraine narrative
Platform says USMC veteran and former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter violated “targeted harassment” rule
Twitter bans US Marine for questioning Ukraine narrative

Twitter “permanently suspended” the retired US Marine Corps officer Scott Ritter on Wednesday, accusing him of engaging in prohibited behavior by questioning the claims of Ukrainian authorities that Russian soldiers had massacred civilians in Bucha near Kiev. Ritter is best known as the former UN weapons inspector who doubted US claims about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, invoked by Washington as a pretext for the 2003 invasion.

“So apparently I’ve been suspended from Twitter for the crime of challenging the orthodox narrative of the so-called Bucha massacre,” Ritter said on his Telegram channel, sharing a screenshot of the message he received from the Big Tech platform.

“I’ve appealed, so who knows what the future will bring,” Ritter said, adding that “Freedom of speech in America today is an endangered concept.”

According to the screenshot, Twitter’s censors had decided that Ritter violated their rules against “harassment and abuse” by saying the Ukrainian police had committed crimes against humanity in Bucha, and were trying to shift blame onto Russia with US help.

Ritter’s tweet did not contain calls for abuse or harassment, or wish physical harm on anyone, Shadowproof journalist Kevin Gosztola pointed out, arguing that his ban “shows how Twitter Rules can be twisted to silence US foreign policy critics.”

The rules were recently updated to include “denying mass casualty events took place,” Gosztola noted, but he said Ritter hadn’t done that, either.

The truth about Bucha is out there, but perhaps too inconvenient to be discovered
Read more The truth about Bucha is out there, but perhaps too inconvenient to be discovered
In an op-ed published by RT on Monday, Ritter had examined the Ukrainian allegations that the withdrawing Russian troops had massacred civilians on their way out of Bucha, pointing out a number of inconsistencies and “red flags” with them and putting them in the context of the propaganda war raging parallel to the ongoing military conflict.

Grayzone’s Aaron Mate also pointed out that there was nothing that fit the definition of “targeted harassment” in Ritter’s flagged tweet, and asked Twitter to “please undo” the ban.

“You’re suspending a decorated Marine Corps veteran and former chief UN weapons inspector who bravely warned the world about the Bush [administration’s] Iraq WMD lies. Silencing voices of dissent will make your platform un-usable,” Mate tweeted.

Ritter is a retired US Marine who had inspected Soviet weapons under the now-defunct INF treaty, worked as the chief UN weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991 to 1998, and served on the staff of General Norman Schwarzkopf during the first Gulf War.
