Roughly, the story goes like this: a Russian mercenary was identified by Wagner as a Ukrainian spy because he had received a "Ukrainian Volunteer Badge" from an acquaintance, was tortured in a way that cannot be described in the horrific SG, was suspected by the Russian government military police, and only a medical facility he escaped to saved this person, who was admitted to a Russian military hospital, but all his personal effects, bank accounts and cards were still confiscated.

Senior Russian officials are banned from resigning their posts during the war in Ukraine, according to a report that said attempting such a move would be considered a betrayal.
The independent Russian language news outlet Vazhnye Istorii (iStories) said that at least two governors had sought to stand down since the start of Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion but were stopped from doing so under threat of a criminal prosecution.

Japan will accept injured Ukrainian soldiers for medical treatment as part of efforts to support their war-torn homeland in its ongoing battle to defend itself against Russia, sources close to the matter said Wednesday.

In a rare move, several soldiers will be accepted at the Self-Defense Forces Central Hospital in Tokyo as early as next month for medical care and physical therapy, the sources said.
