BGE2 has been hinted, revealed, announced like three times already. Right now it is the same as with Duke Nukem Forever: I'll believe it is in works when it gets released.

Posting real (probably) BG&E2 news that I hadn't yet seen and using Manny as an avatar?... sometimes, the choice to whitelist is an easy one! :)
Thanks for the heads-up on the new artwork! Looks promising! (But like everyone else is mentioning... it's also been teased sooo many times in the past, so I'll not get my hopes up too high for a new game yet. :D)

This is probably a really cruel joke on Ubisofts part. They should either kill the damn project or release it already.

Ubisoft is full of shit. They have been teasing Beyond Good & Evil 2 since 2008:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyond_Good_%26_Evil_2

Given recent trends and the disastrous state that they have released games in over the past few years, even if a sequel to BG&E were to finally see the light of day, the real question that people should be asking is just how Ubisoft going to find a way to fuck it up...

So, it's gone back. It's been "in production" for a long time now. They've even used it as an argument for selling other games. So now it's in pre-production? Pre-production comes before production, so what we're "happy" about is them going back to an earlier stage.

I've not seen that Jimquisition, I just remember them trying to sell use one of the recent Rayman games saying that if it sells well, then we'll get Beyond Good and Evil 2.

And this thing has been out for over 8 years now.

It was officially worked on in 2008.

Actually, doing a bit of digging:
2008 - The game had been worked on for over a year
2009 - The game had just entered pre-production
2010 - Game is in development
2012 - game has entered development
2014 - game has entered active development
2015 - Game has entered playtesting stage
Early 2016 - Game is still being worked on
Late 2016- Game has just entered pre-production

Something really does not add up here.

We're talking about the company that claimed that their DRM caused a 0% piracy rate and then 2 months later said that 95-98% of all the people who played their games were using pirated copies so they had to abandon PC. I don't trust Ubisoft, they have a long history of flat out lying.

And to my knowledge, at least some of the comments above were through official channels.
