Oh my, delicious bundle! १✌◡✌५ Got 1 week to consider it!
I would buy it for those I'm missing / want, but I don't have enough money. Would need to gather some money first.
No. It has lots of great games, but I already got those I'm interested in. ( ・ω・)
No. I'm genuinely not interested in these games. ◔̯◔
$30?! Ain't nobody got money for that! щ(゚Д゚щ)

if i buy the bundle while a game is out of stock and the game gets restocked do i get the game? like nuclear throne just now

The games marked as "sold out for new customers" may or may not be restocked depending on whether or not Humble is able to get more keys. So you may or may not get keys for games marked as sold out.

It appears I was mistaken. I guess Humble is contacting developers to see if they can get more keys. You may not get keys for Subnautica, Super Meat Boy or other sold out games though.

Lucky that I got the bundle earlier today, two out of the games I was interested in are unavailable now. (Subnautica and Monster Loves You)

It does make me wonder how appealing the bundle will be later in the week. Sure there will still be a lot of value but it'll probably be off putting if new people see a stream of "this game is no longer available". on the page.

but then again maybe they've already achieved what they wanted with this bundle and everything else is a bonus?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Suppose so, but doubt they would say no thanks to more money for the charity. :P However, the developers on the other hand.. They would probably like to earn some money too and therefore draw the line I would suppose.
But great that you got the bundle in time! :)

What games do you think they might add?

Broken Age or Don't Starve seem possible since the developers are already involved. Her Story is a game I've been meaning to play though, it would be neat if it showed up.

Something like Owlboy or Orwell would be awesome but they seem like they were released too recently to be possibilities.

bought it before I realized Subnautica ran out of keys.. that was one of the ones I was buying it for, oh well I guess The Witness, Overgrowth and Invisible Inc will have to be worth it..... be nice to see what they add in 15 hours.... hopefully some more games on my extensive wishlist.. For the ones I already got was well worth the 30 dollars..

You may want to add a note to the OP letting people know that all the games may not be available and they need to check the Humble site to see what is out of stock. Instead of selling out of the bundle, they are just removing the games that are out of stock and still selling the rest of the bundle.

That way users don't read this post, go to humble and click purchase without realizing they are not getting all the games.

Edit: I either missed it or you just added it, but I see now that you have mentioned this in the OP.

I get the limited availability thing, but every time I see individual titles in these large bundle become unavailable I become increasingly less interested in them, and if I'm being honest, just plain angry. There is a huge difference between limited bundle quantity and limited availability of parts of the entire bundle.

It just comes across as either Humble not having their act together or purposefully obfuscating. It's not hard to show a "bundles left" tracker, and I don't like how It feels like I'm being sold an inferior product than the one initially offered.

In fairness, I can see the other side. If someone wants the bundle, it's still a good deal, and it is nice of them to keep offering it despite running out of some keys (and it all goes to charity, but that's almost always an option with HB) rather than canceling it completely. And they do a good job of keeping the page updated so you know what you're getting, so it's not shady (although possibly easy to miss if you're not familiar with HB's practice of doing this).

I guess it's a marketing strategy or something. Not sure. But yeah, I can definitely see what you mean with it. I understand your frustration! :) Especially with "I don't like how It feels like I'm being sold an inferior product than the one initially offered." ...doesn't feel good at all. Well that's just great.. The page had no mention of limited number of games when it launched.
I was a bit on the fence if I can afford to put yet another 30$ on Humble Bundle, but I was leaning towards "yes", but I was gonna wait a bit to see what more gets added.
Oh well, removing a bunch of games I really wanted has swayed me the other way, so it's a skip.

Permalink

I thought I saw other people saying there was no such message also.
I guess I just didn't notice it, since it's not very visible.
They really should make it clearer and not just dump it in the middle of some other grey text.
It's the type of thing you'd think they'd put up in big red letters somewhere for everybody to see :/

Nah, it's not petty and silly. It's understandable! I would feel the same way, Pete! Ofc one can still be happy about the remaining items and that it's all for charity, but it would still sting a bit.
