Cool event, but...
wouldn't it be good if you chose at least one achievement (in this case) from XCOM: Enemy Unknown/ Enemy Within? If someone has achievements (especially those harder to obtain) from the previous game in an installment, then the chance that they'll enjoy this one is higher.
I'm not asking because I like XCOM and have achievements from it (I probably wouldn't have the right one anyway), I'm just curious and wanted to suggest this in case you make giveaways for games that belong to a series in the future.

Yeah this got mentioned earlier, I genuinely forgot like an idiot and I don't want to add another achievement to the event as its already getting quite high entries from people who have the current achievements.
It's a good suggestion though, I feel like a bit of an idiot not thinking of it.

Chances are high it would give me an entry. Don't forget to include achievements for GA related games next time :)
P.S. After seeing your other post, I was surprised to see an update here that you had ideas of canceling the event. Be sure, you would make a lot of people sad with such decision. Happy to see you didn't do that. Best of luck with future events!

The giveaway runs until the evening of 12.8. I guess we'll have time until then. Maybe he'll closes the entrance some hours before it ends so he doesn't miss whitelisting late entries that would have been eligible. Everything should be fine :)
For the colours: someone asked about it here. It shows the rarity of the achievements, at least the rarity how astats counts it.

As Sappy said, ill close entries a couple of hours before deadline to avoid late entrants getting salty. I add periodically throughout the week as its a mammoth task to check for cheaters in every single post. I will get to you eventually :)!

I have a question about The Talos Principle. Is this game hard?
I played the demo, was a good puzzle. But I tried the full version and it was too easy, some puzzle you just do one thing and you complete it. I don't played all the game but only the first and second door (of the ?mansion?) if I remember well. I thought the game will be hard later but a friend said to me her played more and the game kept easy.
So, will be this game hard anytime? When?
I was following this game when it was showing things for Linux version before be launched. But trying the full version was so frustrating.

It's not incredibly hard, however the hidden stuff and the different paths you can take are hard.
Some of the puzzles caused a bit of difficulty, but nothing major.
Some of the hidden puzzles where completely impossible and I had to use a guide.

Sad to hear it's not focused on difficulty but I will try to buy it if I can get in a good price. The elohim's voice and conversations was quite enjoyable.

I would love to, but I don't have any of the games.
A pity, because if XCOM EU were on that list I would have a 98% chance of entering. Of course, in true xcom fashion the achievements required would be the 2% I don't have :D

I did it on Classic myself. Impossible is really tough. Even the devs admitted that it was a bit unfair at times.

Jeah to get that achievement it's advisable to play on classic but it's still a tough achievement. I just kinda, wanted to add an extra challenge to it, but I've failed... xD
Those early missions are just ridiculously difficult. I only achieved one good start in about 30(?) tries and then I messed up the basebuilding part..... doh......

How does this work?
Simple really, I will post a few achievements(they won't be easy) and if you can prove to me you have them prior to the giveaway starting(to prevent cheating you dirty SAM users) you get to enter the giveaway, isn't that cool!
Why base it on achievements?
I am a semi-achievement hunter, I like taking the effort to get achievements on games I like, hopefully this can promote a few people hunting some achievements in the future or even better promote games I love and give them exposure Spoiler/Hint alert, the achievements will probably for games I like, I won't necessarily have them myself though
I have made the requirements how do I enter?
I will blue heart you and you can enter the blueheart giveaway.

How are you going to pick the game to giveaway?
I will use my own discretion and pick for you as per the feedback I've received during previous events
Why did't you include X achievement?!
Because I can only select a few and they will be difficult, if I select ones that are too easy or widespread there will be too many entries, I want to REWARD people who get difficult achievements.
I don't own X game, I hate you.
A lot of effort goes into making these, I've had a few negative comments about it in the past, I try and make it as fair as possible but of course some people will be disappointed. Look out for the consolation prizes throughout the event! Everyone can take part!
I'm blacklisted can you remove me?
Probably not, my blacklist is TINY so if you are on it there is a pretty damn good reason you are on it.
Do I get to stay on your whitelist once the events over?
Unfortunately not, everyone who gets entry via having the achievements will be removed once the event is over(unless you've been super nice and I want to keep you around for future non-event giveaways!
