So, as kids, or simply growing up, we all have that /one/ game we will always cherish in our hearts.

What game is that for you? Could even be a game you recently played that had stuck to you.

For me, it would definitely have to be either the Legend of Zelda series, or most games from rareware. (Mostly Conkers bad fur day and Banjo.)

Wouldn't say it's much of a classic but Evil Genius, absolutely love it although my steam time doesn't reflect it at all.

Dungeon Master series by FTL games (RIP).
Specifically, Dungeon Master: Chaos Strikes Back.

The third Dungeon Master game was I think a cash grab and was very short/disappointing.

If you haven't heard of these games, think... Legend of Grimrock, but much older and 16bit 3D gaming.

(1/2) I have too many games ive had in my childhood/teenagehood so il name them all as their all my favourites in some ways, havent played all the popular games that many have played in their childhoods but these are mine and i love them and i cherish them and i listen to their soundtracks still today so, so very much, it saddens me gravely how we will never get great games like these ever again, they just dont make them like they used to, as if they even tried to, eh...anyway, i think i had somewhat a game rich young life and thus i am incredibly thankfull for it to my mommy and uncle as they provided, so these are the games that ive had the great fortune to play and have stuck with me in my mind for a long, long time and hopefully will keep that way (oh and i highly suggest anyone interested in the titles to play them if they havent, their WORTH it, they realy are, just fetch the emulators and youre in for a good time or atleast listen to the music in these invaluable gems, their so good.), keep in mind ive only barely played some, didnt finish some or alot and finished some so its a mix with me. My classic games are =.

Sega Genesis: Streets of Rage, Streets of Rage 2, Streets of Rage 3, Sunset Riders, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Hyperstone Heist, Jurrasic Park, Jurrasic Park: Rampage Edition, Jurrasic Park: The Lost World, Mega-Lo-Mania, Doom Troopers: The Mutant Chronicles, Quackshot Duck Starring Donald Duck, Alladin, The Adventures of Batman and Robin, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles 3, Sonic Pinball(<not good maybe afterall, but memorable nontheless), Road Rash, Road Rash 2, Road Rash 3 Tour De Force, Desert Strike - Return to the Gulf, Jungle Strike, Urban Strike (< back when EA made amazing games, im still waiting for the sequels...), Battletoads, Dune: The Battle for Arrakis, Ghostbusters, Animaniacs, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Robocop 3, Bonkers, Tiny Toon Adventure: Buster's Hidden Treasure, The Flintstones, Golden Axe, Golden Axe 2, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, Earthworm Jim, Flashback: The Quest for Identity, Chase: H.Q. II, Top Gear 2, Zero Tolerance aaaand...thats mostly it for the good games i remember...i ofcourse had the chance to play some other random crap like a formula game, Booger Man 2, Ecco the Dolphin (im sorry but i just couldnt like it..., an uncomfortable fighting game, a trampoline jumper but it was good but i dont remember its name and i wish i did... some ugly wierd lame space ship combat game, wierd alien shooter fighting game i didnt understand called Xperts, a tetris block building Pacman game and etc. and saddly i couldnt, wasnt able to play other games other people love like Street Fighter, Bubbsy, Toejam And Earl, Alien 3, Comix Zone etc. but all these good games ive listed, i have my uncle and mother to thank for, for getting them and i am thankfull, thankgoodness ive had such a game rich childhood realy, love these games so much...

PSP = Pursuit Force, Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice (*ucking Sony, il hate them forever for closing Bigbig Studios in 2012, we will never get Pursuit Force 3 now...) Patapon, Patapon 2, Killzone: Liberation, Jackass the Game, Flatout: Head On, Dead Head Fred (<i HIGHLY suggest for this to be played, or atleast watched, or better yet, bought so that the studio gets enough funds for a sequel, they havent made it cause they dont have money...), The Warriors, Manhunt 2, GTA Liberty City Stories, GTA Vice City Stories, GTA ChinaTown Wars, Warhammer 40K Squad Command, Def Jam: Fight For NY: The Takeover, Burnout Legends (<best Burnout game for sure), Burnout Dominator, Silent Hill Origins, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, God of War: Chains of Oylimpus, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops(<only one i played, didnt like it, too hard and time consuming but i guess its good...), Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core (<the only FF ive played and the last one il ever play, for me its the best one, dont like the others, old or new, definetly my favourite FF universe though, a must play definetly, so good, so much emotions and enjoyment and fustrations, a masterpiece, hope it comes onto pc someday...), Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, one of the three SOCOM games, their all good i suppose, Chilli Con Carnage (<play it if you love actiony funny games/Total Overdose), The Godfather: Mob Wars, Rock Band: Unplugged (< a glitch didnt let me get past the first or 3rd song but i enjoyed it sooo much...), Medal of Honor Heroes, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Field Commander (<best strategy game on PSP, so want a seuqel..), Resistance: Retribution (< i sooo love this game, so wish the Resistance series made a comeback...), The Sims 2 (< its a good adventure), The Sims 2 Castaway, Call of Duty Roads to Victory (<WW II goodness), SWAT: Target Liberty, LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes, Star Wars Battlefront II, Obscure: The Aftermath, there was a good WW II airplane game but i forgot its name.., Worms Open Warfare 2 (< good stuff :) ), Tom Clancy's EndWar, Street Riders (<such a fun combat racer game), Daxter, Midnight Club LA Remix(< Rockstar, WHY YOU NO MAKE MORE MIDNIGHT CLUB GAMES DAMNIT?!), Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition, and...thats kinda it for the best classic PSP games ive luckily was able to play, my mommy convicned my dad to give birthday money for something aiding in studies but it actualy was for a PSP console, which luckily i got and even more luckily my uncle hacked it so i could download ISO PSP games for it from various websites, which i did for years untill i was starting to get bored and just outright deleted games that didnt amuse me, i was getting so bored of the little thing..that as before i was robbed for the first and so far last time in my life, il forever regret taking my psp to school for no reason and leaving the school before everyone else early, just to get mugged by three fuckers on my way to the bus stop, such a nigthmare, dont know what they would have done to me if i didnt hand it over, damn thing was bulging from my pocket so they saw it, just surrounded me and probably still live unpunished judging by my luck... how much it cost, over 200 lats..? So expensive, down the drain..it was used up but still functional...and only afterwards how valuable it is occured to me just like when i first had the thing...anyway, ISo games were a godsend, too poor to buy any games regularly, evne still this day i dont have a job for that crap...but my PSP couldnt be updated to make newer games work on it like Motorstorm Arctic Edge so i was kinda stuck anyway as my uncle didnt seem to be able to update it...anyways, obviously saddly i havent played all the underrated hidden awesome gems of the PSP, which are MANY and the hundreds of cringy anime japanese games hindered my search and turned me off big time, so that didnt go too good, didnt find enough games unfortunately....i ofcourse did try out alot more than that but they were...kinda random crap that i didnt like, crap like some Golf, Full Auto 2: Battlelines, horrible Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (<monster/animal, same thing, violence is too much..) but nyeah, ive missed out no and doubt il ever be able to play the other goodies i didnt like Scarface( even though i played and finished the pc version), Unbound Saga(<creators of Crimecraft, who knew!), Medevil: Ressurection, Tekken games, Syphon Filter, GTA Chinatown Wars, Need for Speed games and so, so much else good PSP games i didnt manage to play...also did you know there are two more Valkaryia Chronicle games on PSP? Why arent they on pc yet like the first one? Anyway this list holds a huge amount of the games but most likely not all of them for all i know of = http://www.pspshare.org/ could be more, better sites, dunno.

Age of Empires 2, Age of Empires 3(< love it sooo much, so wish i could start playing it in multiplayer, apparently about 2000 people still play it daily, makes me happy hearing that...), saw my uncle playing the first Twisted Metal with a friend, he spent so much effort making it work online..., CS 1.6.(<my cousin is otherwordly obsessed or was with this game, made me be nicknamed Plague..), CSS (<loved it for the zombie modes, barricading ourselves in rooms with scary ambience and scary zombies, good times, better than CSGO which is just a CSS reskin with bloodsucking schemes), Driver Paralel Lines(< got stuck on night mission with a green bike..), Driver San Francisco(< loved it, not enough praise, so want a sequel), C&C Red Alert 2, C&C Red Alert 3(<the best Red Alert there is when you think about the facts, enjoyed it, i love and want to see more of the sweet Allied communications officer <3...), Call of Duty 1(<watched cousin play, so good, Call of Duty 2(< played it myself, so enjoyable) Call of Duty 3 (< PS2 exclusive but im lucky my cousin had it and let me play it, so good, the last good classic CoD...), Fallout Tactics(< never got past the first mission against Deathclaws, died, everyone was addicted to those stupid strenght gums that i didnt realize were drugs, played baddly, had lots of friendly fire constantly but its a good game! finaly Fallout 4 takes molotovs from it but not the incidineary grenades yet saddly...or talking Deathclaws, or more varied robots, or wasps, or Beastmasters, or giant radroaches, or vehicles, or cooler sneaking, or plastic explosives, or formidable raiders, ), Fallout 3(<too much stuff to do in, never finished it but spent hundreds of hundreds of hours..), both Half Life's, (not the expansions yet though..), a little bit of Duke Nukem 3D, some wierd twisted game called Reqiem or something, was so bizzare, angel, with a single gun, going trough confined tight brown dark tunnels, scary stuff..., never got the chance to play a old Turok but i had it for some reason.., i slightly played a confusing hard, difficult puzzle game called Two Brothers, its sequel i think when i was a little kid, ...theres probably more old classics i played trough the years, but..thats kinda all i remember for now, which is too bad..., played Metro 2033, the old one, played a tiny bit of Heroes of Might and Magic IV, played GTA IV, but didnt finish it, Red Faction Guerrilla long ago but didnt finish like alot else, Dead Space, Dead Island, Dead Rising 2, Battleforge, Battlefield Heroes, Crimecraft, Command and Conquer Tiberium Alliances, Ikarium, Ultima Online or something Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 and so much else i cant remember at the moment...,

Would include the gameboy color games and flash games, good games that ive played but theres a 10.000 letter limit, damn, i didnt know, wasted time writting those......

I was born in the PS2 era, and so my childhood games consisted of racing games and SpongeBob games. Some fun games, but nothing special. It was only recently I've been playing a bunch of the classics, that is to say that I went into these awesome games without nostalgia, and even then they were great.

If we're talking about that one game, it's got to be EarthBound for me. There's just something about it that felt so alive. It's also the first game that really got me into RPGs (which I thought I wouldn't like at the time). I feel like I've become a better person from experiencing it. It's not perfect, and I can objectively point out flaws, but the things it does well destroy those issues when experiencing the game itself.

There are so many games that have amazed me which is why I love gaming, and EarthBound is the first one that comes to mind when I think about these games. Obviously, EarthBound doesn't hit every aspect of gaming I love (such as platformers and shooters), but it's definitely my most memorable gaming experiencing.

Other notable games include:

  • Ty the Tasmanian Tiger - my second game played and first 3d platformer
  • Super Mario Bros. 2 (GBA) - My first Nintendo game, and first portable game. Got me into the Mario series
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl - One of my first Wii games (alongside Super Mario Galaxy). This is the game that got me curious of other Nintendo franchises which led me to trying The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and of course EarthBound and more. Playing all these games then led me into simply looking for the best games of all time which has led to me playing many great games across many genres and a general love for gaming as a whole.
