When keys are part of the giveaway, that sends them

If you attached a key to the giveaway, then yes once you press this button the winner will be able to view the key on this page.
If it's a gift, or if you want to deliver the key personally via Steam chat, it just serves as a reminder for you (if you're attentive you'll notice that for keys it says "Send key" and for gifts "Sent gift")

I made two giveaways today for the first time, but I'm not sure if I properly did my part. I used the "key" option and after the winner is selected I selected send, which turned the Icon to a check mark under "Sent" status. Does this mean that I've sent the key, or does this mean I just marked as it being sent?
This seems a bit unclear
