Hell fucking yeah! I've just won (well, semi-won) Chivas Regal best European recipe competition! My recipe was chosen one of 6 best as a company to Chival Masters cocktails and I've won a 12 bottles box of Chivas Regal XV xD I don't have a photo this time, but the cocktail I chose was Chivas mixed with with mead, hay ash and smoked hierochloe, and my accompanied recipe was a chickpeas flour ravioli, filled with egg yolk, ricotta, crushed fennel flower, pine honey and lime juice, sauce being burnt butter, smoked in burnt sage leaf and mixed with sechuan pepper. :)
It's 3rd time ever I've won a cooking competition, but 1st time to receive some really fucking nice prize :) Especially as I fucking love whisky, but I would never buy myself a 50EUR per bottle one. And now I got 12 bottles xD

Oh man! That cocktail looks right up my alley! Scotch, mead and smoked grass! That chickpea flour ravioli looks on point too! With burnt butter and more smoke! Damn good choice!
Did you cook the egg yolk in the ravioli or was it a 62° or confit yolk?
Anyway kudos to you. Well deserved win.

Fiancee had a birthday party yesterday and she wished for super-sweet princess unicorn etc themed party. I generally hate baking, but since it's her birthday I made a rare exception and made this Unicorn Birthday Cake ;p Took me half of the night but was pretty happy with the end result :)

Easy leftover dinner :) Stuffed mushrooms and baked young potatoes. I've had leftover grilled zuchinni paste from breakfast (grilled zuchinni, arugula, feta cheese, lime juice, crushed peanuts, olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne, black pepper, all blended) so I used it as base for stuffing, added diced and fried: onion, yellow bell pepper, mushroom legs, smoked ham; seasoned, mixed with zuchinni paste, stuffed mushrooms, topped with radamer cheese, baked in oven. Young potatoes I baked in olive oil, herbes de provence and wild garlic leaves, after baking seasoned with salt and chopped fresh dill.

I also started making homemade alcohol :)
First image is strawberry tincture with mint and lemon, fruits just got blended and squeezed after 2 weeks of sitting in alcohol (rectified spirit mixed with water), I will now leave it for around a week to settle, then filter and bottle it and let it age for 5-6 months, should be ready for winter :)
Second image I started making yesterday - for now it's canary melon sitting in sugar syrup with lemon and cinnamon, gonna blend and squeeze it in a few days, then mix with rectified spirit and dark rum, let it set for next 2 weeks, then I will be decanting it, bottle it and age for about 2 months, so should be ready at end of september :)

Nice! I made strawberry liquor last year but I haven't found really good strawberries this year. It's all water and no flavour.
I started doing some homemade liquor a couple of years ago but finding the alcohol starter is a problem here so I've used vodka, rum and other liquors as bases, which means tweaking the ratios to keep the alcohol content high enough (for flambés and other uses)
I still have a batch of chestnut liquor from last year, with spices, that's extremely enticing, despite the heat.

Image 1 - Refreshing salad, with chicken slices marinated in lemon juice and mountain savory then oven-baked, oven-baked peaches, sliced pear, all topped with chopped fresh peppermint and dry-pan-roasted cashew nuts.
Image 2 - Turkey roulade filled with spinach, feta cheese, parsley and sundried tomatoes, wrapped in schwarzwälder schinken and oven-baked.

if you are allergic to just cashew you can swap them for any other roasted nuts (I think roasted wallnuts would work good, with their bitterness countering sweet tastes, but I only had cashew and hazelnuts at home, ans hazelnuts wouldn't woprk here I believe ;p), or add some roasted seeds instead, like sunflower or pumpkin seeds, what matters is to add some good fats to the dish to make it more balanced, and nuts are easiest way to do so with such salad :)

From time to time selfmade food from myself.
Often with a direction by the price and sometimes with a needed time to make it.
Not presented professional and the pictures are made with a weak camera but i hope sometimes you feel the mouth orgasms that a part of the food made or at least you are hungry and cook then for your family or yourself :o)
At least in germany are the most women love it when you are able to cook good. All my fem. friends and girlfriends too.
Let's start with the last one. More food are at the comments :o)
Wagyu Beef burger with black forest bacon, cheese and salad.
I can recommend Wagyu beef mine is not from Japan - Kobe, it is from australia, its really worth the 5,50€ for 2 patties.
All together the burger costed me around 3,50€/each. At McDonalds you pay here over 5€ for a "better" burger and it is from a much lower quality then the self made. You need around 10 Min. to make them.
Don't look at the chaos around the plate, i paint at the last days in my flat~
