I think the spirit of this rule is that you're not expected to do one giveaway each month, unlike many groups that have this rule (which is good too, just another choice). You do giveaways as you like, and enter how many you want, but you just need to control it and not try to grab as many games as possible. But if you're not active for a long time, what's the interest of you being there ?

Exactly right! No mandatory giveaways mean just that... but if you stay there for 3 months... not entering stuff or not gifting, you are doing nothing in the group. Especially if you are inactive for a long time and when the giveaway for quadruple super AAAAAA game shows up you enter that one... that's not a team play :)
