I did the same. The free version of a vpn i use didn't offer singapure(without paying), so i went hong kong.
Btw why Singapure is the one talked around here? Its the CHINese new year. Any ip from China will do.

So far I believe only Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore have confirmed access to the game [and, while I saw some comments earlier on stating Chinese IPs weren't working, there are some comments just above indicating that China is also valid for it]. While it's part of the same promotion as Assassin's Creed Chronicles (China), and so it's too soon to say anything for sure, it could be that this particular game is similar to Ubisoft's last Lunar Sale, with it being exclusive to certain Asian regions.
It's supposed to be free through the 10th, so there's some time to wait on deciding whether to VPN or not.

On Uplay App, go to your Games Tab, and look on Free games section, there should be Splinter Cell: Conviction - Deluxe Edition on the top left with a watermark FOR FREE. I am from SEA too

Can confirm it works with Speedify from Singapore in Uplay launcher. Would not work in promo webpage.
They did ask for some info since its not a promo button grant, but a no price regular purchase. (you pay with your personal info i guess) Nothing fakenamegenerator couldnt solve. :D

Got Splinter Cell Conviction through VPN proxy in Hong Kong from WindScribe.
All I did was load the page, login and then dropped off my proxy and restarted uplay, it was in my library on restart and downloading now without need for continued proxy access.

My apologies, I should probably go read those rules again, I'm in so many forums and communities and the rules while similar for most content vary on some minor aspects such as referral linking. In most I participate in, it is a permitted practice so long as you provide it as a benefit to conversation, specify that you obtain benefit through its use and sometimes, at least in one community I frequent, what the benefit I receive is exactly.
