Disabling VPN simply changes your IP, which allows you to access the site again (as the new IP isn't logged by the site yet). Using or not using VPN has no direct relationship to the site working or not, as the issue is presumably one of the site logging our IPs before it loads, causing it to occasionally finish loading with the assumption that we've already viewed the site before.

Yeah well, from what people were describing, it didn't sound as an issue with the site working or not. I got the same page as everyone else did, and it worked after I disabled my VPN. So it led me to the conclussion that maybe the IP was blocked (Since many people would be using the same VPN IP), as it had already visited the site and chosen a door.
Although, I'm on VPN now, and I can load the page just fine now. So it looks like it could just have been a coincidence that I managed to open the site just after I disabled my VPN.

Until you have made a choice I hope? xD Cloudflare has allot of IP's, so I guess your VPN got assigned a different one than your home IP.

Indeed. I picked the same one as I did the first time, and now when I open it up again it sends me to the same page I got at first, all the doors are gone. This time though, I did actually make a choice, so it makes sense it sends me there now :P

Well, I suppose what you're describing would also be a possibility, but it should be far too rare an occurrence [given how many VPN providers are out there, and that most offer thousands of different dynamic IPs] to pop up so very often for this one niche site, even if every user here was using VPNs to begin with- which, most of us seemingly were not.
As for being a site issue, think of it as being generally similar to a situation within an MMO, where your client desyncs to the server, and so the server gives you a response you don't expect. Basically, the reason we were likely having issues was tied into the fact that the servers were being overloaded, and the site wasn't set up in a way to compensate for such a situation. Similarly, if your home IP was having issues connecting to the server, you'd likely have gotten a similar response, even if the server itself wasn't currently being overloaded. [Because you'd connect and register your IP, but fail to load the site properly; thus causing the site to not function correctly when you manage to finally load it.]

I see, thank you for explaining it. I assumed what I did I think mainly because the VPN I use, always gives me the same IP when I connect through one of their servers. I figured they had the one IP for each server, and everyone connected to this server had the same IP as me. Maybe I'm mistaking, or maybe it's more like a cluster thing where a limited bunch of us share the IP. I really have no idea how exactly it works.

sleeping is overrated
I have decided to substitute playing Sleeping Dogs for the more generic form of sleeping, and so far it's underrated, if anything.
You should upgrade your sleeping to a better version, like I have. :)
Remember, you're not really short on sleep until the walls start talking to you. I mean, just ask Mr. Door here, he'll tell you the same thing!

I liked all four soundtracks though I didn't recognise any of them. I do have guesses as to what the yellow and black ones might be from, hope to see the answers in due time. I picked one of the other two more or less at random and got a game I already own.

Alright, since all the giveaways have ended, below the games that were behind the doors and the soundtrack! :)
Below are also some statistics for who is interested in them! Taken roughly one hour before the giveaways ended.
Due the initial capacity problems and also later technical problems when switching to Cloudflare (which by accident allowed some to enter twice), I've decided to let the double entries slide. Members who entered three or all four doors or who did not get to the giveaway by the sgtools-link are now welcomed to my blacklist and excluded from future events - clearly they don't appreciate the concept or don't understand it. I'm very happy that the most of you (94%) played by the rules however! I wish I could all whitelist you, but sadly there is not enough room :( But do expect another event in the future for sure :) Also thanks for the many whitelistings I've received during this event. Although I'm not entering many whitelist giveaways (my backlog is big enough already :P), I appreciate the gesture! ^^
