High populated city/kingdom starter games anyone?

So I was wondering, are there any high populated kingdom starter games which are really fun to play and have a big community?
Something like starting as a small kingdom and get bigger after a while and create war with other kingdoms? And start/join a guild and start trading with other players and stuff, that would be really fun.
Are there any suggestions?

Civ 6?

Other than that, mobile games are plagued with games like you described.

I already have a civ game, but I mean like a game as Evony.

Maybe check this game out. Grepolis.com
I played it a few years back. I didn't like the new design but as a new player it can be a ton of fun.

It's free to play. Not really pay to win but that is based of my experience (few years back).
