I don't care how people feel if I blacklist them. I blacklist them because I don't want to give stuff to them and/or doesn't even want to deal with them in any means - not to make them feel bad.
I don't really understand why people blow the whole BL issue out of proportions. Blacklists has an upper limit of 1000 users. By making a group only, whitelist, or even region blocked giveaway people are denying the giveaway for tens of thousands of people - on a different way of course, but the point is that we are already cut off way more giveaways (and accepted it) than blacklists will ever provide, so why be upset about it?

Blacklists exclude certain people from the general populace. They suggest that some people are worth less to you than others.
Whitelists/groups include certain people and leave the rest equal. They suggest that some people are worth more to you than others.
People take it personally when you consider them in particular to be below everyone else. People are much more accepting the other way around.

I'm in ROW region but I can still make a region locked giveaway to fuck with everyone else, so that's not exactly the same.
Blacklists suggest that everyone not being blacklisted worth more for me than the blacklisted ones :D

I've actually never thought about the fact that you can make region locked giveaways with ROW gifts just to mess with people. Seems like a flaw in the system that's not easily corrected.
As for your second sentence, that's pretty much the same as saying that the blacklisted people are worth less, just with a rearranged sentence. :P and logically there shouldn't be a difference, but people take it personally when they know you've specifically targeted people for exclusion rather than targetting people for inclusion.

This thread was created just to show some people that their blacklist is not important to everyone and to gather users who aren't afraid of being blacklisted by people who think their blacklist is some kind of death sentence.
I highly doubt anyone thinks this.
From my end, it looks like you've got blacklisted by a bunch of people, but rather than just accepting that you might have done something wrong (like posting ref links), you're doing to belittle them, in an attempt to feel like you're in control of the situation. It's the same basic psychological mechanic as when you call someone out for doing something bad (due to thoughtlessness or otherwise), and they start acting in a bad way where they either ridicule the person calling them out for it, or acting as if it was always intentional, instead of just taking responsibility for what they've done and admitting that they did something bad.

Blacklisting is normal when you don't like someone. The fact is there are some people who think everyone should fit their own requirements, if they don't, they blacklist you. Period. That's what this thread is about. I've just discovered that by seeing people complaining there should be more slots for blacklist.
By the way, I've never done anything bad to anyone here :P I can tell you one more secret: judging people you don't know is even more ridiculous :3

I made an educated guess based on having seen past threads like this, and this comment. You'll get a small trickel of blacklists for the things you do/do not do "normally", like how you give away games, ratio, leaving/not leaving comments and such, but I've yet to come across someone who got a big "bump" in their number of blacklists who did not do some major misstep, be it breaking a rule, or saying something that can be read as quite bad. People have claimed that they've done nothing wrong, that people are just blacklisting because they want to feel superior/because they're stupid/because they think blacklisting will really hurt someone else, but thus far, people who have made such statements have not been very honest.

It was a long while back, when I didn't even know it was against the rules. I've edited the thread after a few minutes. I don't really remember what it was and if it could really be considered a ref link, but I edited it, even so.

Kids are a lot more transparent than adults in many cases. I don't mean to say that you're a kid, but it's a behaviour that gets rather obvious when you deal with them. You tell a kid who "playfully" pushed someone that they should not push someone, and they might turn around and push the kid next to them. Adults do the same thing, but it tends to be less physical in nature. Like the blacklist example, someone says something bad on the forum, gets blacklsited, and then they'll make a thread where they fish for blacklists, saying that they want to "see how many blacklists they can be on" (this has happened a bunch of times). Or you might tell someone to stop putting their food on top of yours in the fridge at work, because they don't clean the underside of the box they keep the food in properly, and then they'll out of spite put it on top of yours the next few times.

I've not really seen that... I've seen people who consider it as a bit of a punishment, but not really a big one. That idea tends to come from the person who gets blacklisted, who blows the fact that they got blacklsited out of proportions, thinking that they were viewed as something special in the eyes of the person who blacklisted them.

To be serious now, no need to care about the blacklists. The people that do public giveaways of good games, rarely blacklist anyone, so like what did you lose if someone blacklisted you? Access to some bundled game giveaways? I've been blacklisted by BoGG, DesertMouse1, and Sooth (only 3 I know of so far).
They're extremely generous users who have no reason at all to BL me.

I don't spend much time looking at the discussions but i certainly remember you whinning about blacklists, maybe it was someone else's thread but who cares. You obviously do care about being blacklisted otherwise you wouldn't have made this thread, this is further proven by the fact you've blacklisted me if you didn't care then why bother. Should I now make a thread about being blacklisted as well claiming it hurts my self esteem and I'm unable to enter giveaways for region locked games.
Learn to deal with it, nothing in life is easy, nothing ever goes the way you want it to go so no point cryin' over spilt milk. So you got blacklisted it's not the end of the world.

This thread calls blacklists. I've got more blacklisted since I created it and I knew it, so I don't fear blacklists. Just want some people to know that their giveaways are not so precious as they think. I've learnt there were so many people who blacklist for stupid reasons when I finally stopped to read some threads, since I barely visit or post on Discussions section.

If you've started to read the posts then why bother makin another thread about being blacklisted? Surely you would have seen the other threads all cryin about the same thing. Most of the time you're not gonna find out why you got blacklisted and by making another useless thread you're only gonna get more.

No the point of the thread is to cry for attention, so what if someone blacklists you, we've all been blacklisted. I wouldn't say I'm worthless maybe useless but there is always a reason for someone being blacklisted and I'm sure you got blacklisted for being a Berkeley Hunt awhile back, it's the reason I blacklisted you and I know others did going by the thread at the time.
If you're struggle to get over a being blacklisted then don't stay here nobody is forcing you to stay. If you do stay then just accept the fact that people blacklist for what ever reason they see fit. Who knows in time those blacklists might get removed but not if you keep cryin' about them and if you can't handle a few things like blacklists and words on a monitor screen then you're in for a shock when you go out into the big bad world.

You surely don't read. I've already said that yes, I want attention and that I found that there were so many people who blacklisted other people for stupid reasons by reading this section. I am not talking about myself because I hardly ever post here.
As I said before, I just blacklist who blacklists me, which is fair enough: if you don't invite me to your parties, you give me the full right to not invite you to my parties, which doesn't mean I want to be in your parties. It's just mutual treatment.
I actually don't care if you think I'm crying or something. I'm used to be blacklisted for stupid reasons 'cause I used to frequent Steam Trades, and people there blacklist you just based on your offers or if you answer their offers within a certain period. That's stupid enough, but I was fine, it has never prevented me to keep on making the offers I wanted. As I said, I don't really care about worthless people and don't need anything from them. Beside that, there are stupid people everywhere.
But I realized the real dimension of that kind of stupidity when I started to read threads here. So I decided to play by making this thread, that I knew that would make me blacklisted. And I am fine with keeping on, since I can piss off that kind of worthless people I don't care if they blacklist me at the same time I can have some fun and get some attention (oh, gewd, it's a sin, send me to hell!).
Again, as I said before, the number of blacklists I got is a tiny part of the number of users of the website, so I will keep entering giveaways and winning games, no matter how many threads like this I will make. :3

You keep saying worthless people who's blacklisted you, that suggests that you do care about them blacklisting you otherwise you wouldn't have been bothered saying anything.
If worthless means people who contribute to the community then I guess there's a lot of worthless folks here but I'd take a guess and say that they're not as worthless as you.
Why should these worthless people giveaway their games to people who don't contribute back or have been obnoxious in the past. A reason for blacklisting someone isn't stupid, it's because someone has done something which isn't which the giver deems to not being worth them entering their giveaways. This could be being a Berkeley Hunt, not giving back, bad ratio's etc. Just because you don't agree with not being able to enter a giveaway don't make it a stupid reason.
Making only region giveaways could a reason why someone blacklists you, is it fair you can enter others giveaways but they're not allowed to enter yours???
If you keep winning games then why are you moaning about being blacklisted. It seems to me your cryin because you've been blacklisted by a few folks, you care so much about it that you've made another useless thread to gain attention to you being upset about it. "Leeching" is a negative thing - winning games and not giving them away; at the same time most people don't care about people who win games but don't play them, where it just goes into their backlog and they won't even enjoy it, while there are people out there who really want to play the game. This, combined with "leeching" of people who actually play the games makes me wonder if "gifting" and "giving other people enjoyment" is really what people have in mind here, or is it just a game exchange/trade center with very little rules.
Just in case: I barely ever enter giveaways, so I don't really care, just pointing out that the majority of this community seems really weird to me and I struggle to understand it.
