What's the best anime you have ever seen?

HxH 2011 in a decade of watching them

My two favorites are probably Steins;Gate and Baccano. Both have fantastic characters and interesting stories. I'd also recommend the Monogatari series (Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Nekomonogatari, etc), it has my favorite art style of any anime with fantastic characters and an insane story. Fate/Zero, Durarara, and Psyco-Pass are all great as well.

Fullmetal Alchemist, Steins Gate, Hunter x Hunter (2011). Those are my Top 3. I can't really choose a single one. ;) I also liked Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul and Death Parade.

favorite anime would be Serial Experiments Lain but...
puella magi madoka magica should be right up your alley, also if you want to question your humanity try shiki, its slow at the start but if you push through it its an incredible experience

Wolf's Rain for its great plot, setting, characters and heavy emotional impact ( in a good way).

Dragon Ball Z. Well I haven't seen that much anime lol.

Only three Cowboy Bebop mentions and two Ghost In The Shell mentions. It makes me sad inside.

Aside from those two glorious shows (and movies, I suppose), I'd highly recommend Baccano! and it's lesser sequel-spinoff/spiritual successor Durarara!!. The way the shows are done (mostly Baccano!) is quite fascinating, and great in building both backstory and plot.

Trigun was mentioned (once) - that's also a great watch.

Never finished InuYasha, but it...it doesn't get as old as one would expect with 190-something episodes (although I suppose Naruto and DragonBall are worse in terms of amount of eps.) ; still, there are better ones out there.
