Giveaways for bundle games created after the bundle date will always receive 15% of their value. For example, if you gift 2 copies of a $20 bundle game, you would receive $6 (3 + 3) in value towards your level. Keep in mind that changes to the list of bundle games will apply retroactively, so if a bundle begins today, attempting to gift the game before it's added to the list will offer no advantage. Games may also be added to the bundle list if they're available for free during a promotion, or if they're highly discounted in a sale.

"Games may also be added to the bundle list if they're highly discounted in a sale" this is the real ridicolus thing. discounts for a sngle game shouldn't be subject to the same rules of boundled one.

I didn't buy it in a bundle. I bought Portal 1 and 2 separately

No, but I couldn't even afford them off sale. But games bought on sales still counts as full price here doesn't it. :P

Yeah, it's fine that we all pay discount price, I see the site as a way to exchange good deals: we give games we found in good deals, other people give us game they found in good deals, in the end everyone gets games at low prices :)

here's a list of games that will reduce all your value for the future, or the non-future

if you paid a few cents for a bundle game, why do you think you deserve 10$ CV for it?
you didn't waste money. you paid very little money and got very little on the site. seems fair.
don't be such a dick.

But I didn't buy it in a bundle. And I probably wouldn't be such a dick if life would've been fair to me (I'm not talking about CV here but every possible way)

i don't care how unfair life was to you. that does not give you the right to be unfair to everybody else. think about it.

Like if it would matter. Humanity is shit as it is, and no-one ever has any kind of empathy to the other, that's why I'm unfair to everybody else. Why would I be kind to anyone if everyone just wants the worst for me
Comment has been collapsed.
that's easy to answer. not everyone wants the worst for you. it's stupid to even assume that, based on just a few examples. "those 30 people were assholes, so the whole 7 billion must be assholes, too!" i hope you see the problem in that logic.
besides, the only reason why people in this thread are shitty to you, is because you started off by being shitty. you went first. what exactly do you expect? there are lots and lots of very nice people in here. but if you act like this, you simply can't expect them to be nice to you.

I had other threads where I just asked something nicely, and from the almost 100 replies no-one even tried to answer my question but just trolled around and told me I'm shit, and one even tried to scam me.

Doesn't matter, the game is bundled. i.e. it's no longer worth its original listing price. Plus this game is 6+ years old, are you really surprised it gives next to no cv?

Besides this thread I found another thing.

It's not hard to find someone's steam profile here, is it? :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Obviously not. It's not hard to look up what's been bundled either.

What I was talking about here is that it would be nice if we had a little warning text somewhere when creating a giveaway and picking a bundled game.

Don't stress yourself over levels and CV. If you check the Archive you'll see that the amount of giveaways you're actually missing out on because of levels is not as high as you probably think. Just feel good that you're gifting great games that will make the winners very happy :-)
If levels and CV are a goal in itself (which is fine, some actually consider it a hobby), just do more research before you decide what to give. The Bundled Games List is one important resource. The Deals forum is another. In most threads you'll the calculated CV for deals and bundles, allowing you to make more educated purchasing decisions.

Most of his wins are bundle games or group giveaways with 10 entries.
At least he's trying to give.

At least if the OFFICIAL FUCKING SITE would tell me that the game I'm about to start a giveaway of, is bundled and you don't get anything added to your contributor level. Seriously WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT?! From this day I hate Portal 2. Wasted money and didn't get shit here. Fucking awesome, I hope whoever thought this is such a great idea will die in cancer as soon as possible.
