And here we are. The Big Leagues. At least it feels like it :) I was very happy to finally hit that level 7 mark and I will probably stick around for a while ;) Still a long way to the top. I want to enjoy the view and smell level 7 roses for now =)

It feels like I’ve been here for so long. Won a bunch of games! Met so many nice people! This place is truly special. It may not be an addiction but we won’t be spending so much time here if it wasn’t so enjoyable and entertaining :)

Here goes my traditional celebration train full of bundled games because I love my bundles and indie games!
Have fun =) (Lvl 2-4+) ENDED

IMHO, Daniel Craig is somewhat underrated as a bond. He added the one element all other Bonds were lacking: utter ruthlessness.

Connery is the original and probably best Bond. And the best suited, being Scottish and a badass.

The recent movies with Craig are certainly better films in my opinion (well, except Quantum of Solace..), but I'm not a big fan of Craig as an actor.

Looking forward to see who they pick for the next Bond though!

Who would you want to see as the next Bond? :)

Tough question! But of the possible candidates that I've heard rumours about, I'd say the best would be either Idris Elba (English) or Michael Fassbender (German-Irish). I think they'd both be excellent.

Tom Hardy is a popular choice too. I like him in most movies, but I think the previous two actors would be better suited IMO.
Some other suggestions I heard were Jason Statham, Andrew Lincoln and Henry Cavill.

I agree about Idris Elba (we were just discussing him with friends) but seems like they already announced that it's not going to happen :(
Fassbender would kill it as Bond! I don't think he would agree to this role though :( He is way too busy as it is. I love Tom Hardy too!
All these choices are very good :)

You keep singling me out.
If you have a crush on me, just say it.
Otherwise, you should single more people out, because I feel victimized.

0% of that comment was serious. 100% of it is a bump.

Trains play a big role in some Bond films. Usually they don't bump into anything, which is a good thing for the passengers of the train.

Craig, actually... but Connery for be the first one always will be Bond. The worst? Maybe Moore but only because their films were already out of date, specially his last ones.

And nobody can't laugh of Lazenby! He was great, and his film was GREAT, magnificent!

Now.... Who will be the next one?!

Pierce Brosnan was the worst one for me D:

He had one, maybe two, good Bond films. rest were outdated imho. One of the weakest, yes!

I guess they wanted a more "classical" aprroach of the agent, and Brosnan was introcuded to the producers in the 80s so... It was easy for them. For me, the weakest one, I dont like him because their films were too much dumb for the 90s.

This is by far the most difficult poll on SG. Aside from maybe Lazenby (if I recall correctly, he was "meh"), they're all great. Connery is the classic and did a great job (even if Never Say Never Again was bad) but I felt like I got bored of him so the change was welcome. My previous favorite was Brosnan but that's biased since he starred in all the movies that released during my childhood. I do like his mannerisms though. Moore was decent too but I gave my vote to Dalton partly because he's not getting much love at the moment but mainly because he was a pleasant surprise and I was genuinely disappointed to see him go after only two films. Craig is a phenomenal actor but I prefer the older, pre-Craig movies so I have a bias against him as a Bond. While the new movies are decent action-thrillers, they don't quite have the same spy-game intrigue of the earlier titles. The same thing goes for the new Mission: Impossible movies compared to the original TV show (disclaimer: I'm a big fan, see avatar). Anyway, now I want to marathon all the Bond movies.
P.S. - Thanks for the giveaways!

Lazeny was great, come on! XD And "never say never again" its not a canon bond film

Although "Never Say Never Again" was a non-Eon film, it's hard to dismiss since it does star Connery. That is to say, if an actor not involved in the Eon productions had played Bond in NSNA, then I could have dismissed it as a knockoff piece of garbage. And while it is just that, it lurks in my mind whenever I think of the franchise and I tend to judge it on the same playing field since it stars a prominent Bond actor. Connery's role in NSNA also slightly diminishes my opinion of him as a Bond.

I'm surprised there are others who prefer Dalton. Even though I grew up on Brosnan's Bond, after watching the entire series up to the reboot twice, I have to say, I consider Dalton's movies and Bond the best, even outclassing the best Connery/Moore ones.

Well, I'll list the ones I think you should watch before the Brosnan era:

From Russia With Love (the only classic spy thriller before they started up a formula)
Goldfinger (I don't like it, but it's considered the best by many)
Thunderball
The Spy Who Loved Me
For Your Eyes Only
Octopussy (incredibly campy and the only movie people either love to death or hate with a passion)
A View to a Kill (ONLY if you also think that adding Christopher Walken to anything instantly makes it one of the best things ever)
The Living Daylights
A Licence to Kill

Avoid at all costs:
Moonraker (even if they pay you to watch it, decline; it is the worst Bond movie, making Die Another Day look like a masterpiece)
Diamonds Are Forever
Casino Royale (1967 original, unlicensed)
Never Say Never Again (unlicensed, not part of most anthologies)
The Man With a Golden Gun
Live and Let Die

They are good action/adventure movies. Well, they were more adventure and slowly went into classic action movie. It's just, well, even though the main character is portrayed only by a handful of people, all films feel like as if they are barely connected. Most of them start with a formula and recurring elements (Moneypenny and the hat-throwing, Q, M), but after that they are so different it is difficult to tell which ones will be liked or not. This is why everybody has different favourites. As I mentioned, Goldfinger is the one most people name as the best, me on the other hand like The Living Daylights the most (even though the majority of the lists agree on that the second Dalton movie, A Licence to Kill, was better), followed by From Russia With Love. And though I loved Octopussy, generally I cannot really find anything spectacular in Moore's movies, yet strangely I'd say in general his ones had a better average quality than Connery's.
