Do you read descriptions in giveaways?
I always read descriptions.
Not only for the useful information they may have, but also as a courtesy to the gifter. They spend time writing that for us.
Also, I've been usually "hiding" an extra key in my public gibs descriptions, but most of the time they end unused.
Maybe it's because of language barriers, or maybe because abuse on bots usage. =P

sometimes I don't even get 5 entries when I doing this :)

I honestly try to read them all, but if I am entering a few giveaways right before work, I may miss one or two of them.
Here is a bump for you.

i read the short ones. i mostly enter public giveaways and i only go through the forums just when i have time to kill. but when they require reading and puzzling and stuff, that's just too much time.
and most of all, do i look like somebody who's not lazy?

I do read all descriptions unless it's the same copy pasta developer promotion stuff. And I also enjoy when others read my descriptions (not that I often have any. I usually just leave it blank)....
HOWEVER, I think some people get a bit overboard with it sometimes (not pointing this at OP or anything like that. I just mean in general). Just because someone doesn't read your description in a GA, it doesn't make them a horrible leecher who doesn't want to make the effort to socialize with the community. It doesn't make them botters. It doesn't make them bad people. Maybe they were in a hurry. Maybe they got distracted by something else. Maybe they just weren't that interested in the topic of your description. Shrug. Yes, it's nice for people to read your descriptions but we don't need to be divas about it if they don't.

Public GA descripstion NEVER.If I miss 50 hidden GA like your it still be worth it, because I will not waste my time on every Public GA description. On other hand I do read description on the forum like yours right now.
P.S. Never liked any form of wall of text, I can read it just I get super bored while doing it. Even in my mother's language :/

I always read the descriptions, you never know what you can find in them. Sometimes people say the game is region locked, sometimes that it's not actually a steam key, sometimes they post a link to another giveaway like you did, sometimes they say they're giving out a different game (freebies that they couldn't make a giveaway for), and more.
If they say something like "don't post thanks" then I'll read comments too and blacklist those who said thanks because they clearly don't read descriptions.
I also tend to check profiles of giveaway creators which I have never heard of, just to make sure their giveaways are legit. If the giveaway I want to enter for is their first giveaway or among their first giveaways, regardless of how long they've been on the website I'll most likely give it a pass.

This is just off the top of my head, but I would guess that there are few people actively looking for Munin. That would mean that the entries for the first giveaway are predominantly those of "bots" or people who enter "everything" rather than those actually wanting the game. Why only six "interested" people for the second giveaway? Perhaps because it's a bundled game that has been given out so many times, before?

Short time of giveaways, bundle game, rare people have on wishlist etc. For better game will be more entries. ratio will be different or same?
What i look here is ratio, not total numbers of entries. zelghadis make good mathemathicas example for that.

see, here is the problem.
the forum lurkers usually read everything - we are here to read (GA? where? only potatoes)
the average SG user don't read. hell 700k out of the 900k users are lvl0. and probably were never active anyway.
so, i'm guessing most people here would say yes.
try to make it bold next time use # or something, to really check.
i saw other users doing the same, but not hiding the link, just saying it out loud that there is another GA, i think about 50% of users saw that.
but i never tried

I did the same thing about year ago - same result. And I don't know what did you expected to be honest.
Some people use bots, some behave like bots. Most of people here are for free games, not reading stuff.
Also (this was probably mentioned before) people that use forum will probably read all descriptions (because they can and will read) while those who just enter GAs and don't use forums won't even see your poll (they cant read or don't want to read or are actually a robots).

5% is pretty low.
I did the same thing a while ago (3 or 4 times) and achieved around 10% of the "main" entries in the hidden one. I think it changes a bit with the Level requirement you put in, and if its a "public" or a "invite but in forum-public" GA.
But even in the forum there are enough people not even reading the thread and just klick Links.
