Do you read descriptions in giveaways?
I read most of the time
I have a related question.. do you guys check links to youtube or to any other media in giveaway descriptions?

When it's someone promoting their YouTube channel, I rarely do.
Embedded gifs and the sort, I do.

I always read the descriptions and if there's something there besides restrictions or guidelines I will take 2 mins to also reply. There are multiple giveaway sites but for me what makes SG the most successful of those is the fact it managed to build a community and the easily navigated description/comment section played a part in this.

I read them most of the time (only when its very late, I sometimes forget), but I noticed that a lot of people dont read my description
so for the rest I agree with Zelghadis

Always. If someone's generous enough to make a giveaway and takes the time to write something, the very least that I can do is extend the courtesy of reading it. :)
I've seen others make invite-only giveaways and put links in the descriptions of public giveaways, and it's always shocking to see how few people actually enter those. O_o

Yeah, as perrolijo said, i also did that when i was newbie, also posted thanks on every ga until i saw that people just banned for saying thanks... (i think is harder to make a bot saying something that someone that just autojoin ga's but whatever xD )

Yes, always. It's my way to show respect to the gifter.

I always do for GAs I actually enter, but sometimes (usually if it's late or I'm on a very long train) I'll just skim the description of GAs for games I'm not that interested in before moving on. I'm guessing most of the ones that joined used auto-join script which is a new level of laziness even for me (and believe me, I've spent a lot of time mastering the art of being lazy). Seriously, how much effort does it really take to open a webpage and click a button?

There was a time I didn't read description when I knew about Easy Steamgifts addons (about 2 months after joining the site, and used it about 1 month)
But then I decided to not use it anymore, since there maybe some kind of region restriction, or maybe hidden giveaway like you did. Some even asked to post anything funny and be invited to their whitelist.
