My favorite anime is Shingeki no Kyojin, the soundtrack is so epic and has a sensational story (Hiroyuki Sawano is a genius)!

Hard to pick one. FLCL was my favorite for some time but since the sequels got anounced I'm afraid it might get ruined pretty soon, to me Space Patrol Luluco already felt like a sort of spiritual succesor, there was no reason to tamper with a classic.
Besides those two I already mentioned Durarara, Steins;Gate and Ghost in the Shell are also up there.

Usually a toss-up between Neon Genesis Evangelion and Revolutionary Girl Utena.

DEATH NOTE > FOR LIFE

Considering how many awesome anime there are I say it's pretty hard to pick a favorite.

But I'll say its Hai to Gensou no Grimgar. It's set in a fantasy world and I love how main characters aren't overpowered, instead they struggled defeating even the easiest of monsters in that world in the beggining. I also like how they didn't make enemies appear mindless and emotionless. I loved the scene where they attacked a single goblin and how he desperately wanted to survive to the point where main characters actually felt sorry for him and almost regretted it as a moment of hesitation almost backfired on them. That goblin didn't appear as just a monster in that moment, but as a living being that wants to hold on to its life no matter what.

I think we need more fantasy anime akin to Grimgar. It's a shame the second season hasn't been announced yet.

I liked that one as well!

For similar ones, I recommend watching:

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!
Log Horizon
GATE
Outbreak Company
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka

I watched all of those except for the Outbreak Company which I've never heard about before. I checked it out after seeing your comment and I finished watching it today. It was pretty good.

If we're making Isekai (another world) anime suggestions then these have to be mentioned as well:

Sword Art Online
Overlord
Isekai Shokudou
Youjo Senki
No Game No Life

Mushishi, the only anime that I can say is definitely better than the manga. The manga is great on its own but adding color and music makes it a truly unique and wonderful experience.

My Favourite anime movie would probs be Koe no Katachi / A Silent Voice or Kimi no na wa / Your Name cuz of how many emotions it makes you feel. My fave anime series would either be assasination classroom or Gamers! .

Paprika, for sure. Closely followed by Perfect Blue.
If we're just talking about shows though, probably Space Dandy or HxH.

NANA, I think. Nothing's ever quite managed to top the realism of its characters and their relationships for me, even with the unfinished ending.

Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star definitely.

Also, Macross/Robotech, Hellsing, Zegapain.

I wonder how a person can have one favourite. I like Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, Sohryuden: Legend of the Dragon Kings (Awesome UK theme as well - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MU_fHraJfl8 ), Ace of Diamond, Cross Game, Slam Dunk, Kuroko No Basuke, High School DxD, Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica (Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero), Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and many many others.

There's lot, but the most notable one, because of their long story over years, is One Piece.

So many great anime to choose from, it really depends on what I am looking for at a particular time. I think I may have to go with The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye as it satisfies me on many different levels, though it may not the best in any particular one. I believe I go back to that one most often. I think I may have to watch it again now, haha.

Other great series I am in love with are Hellsing Ultimate (often binge it at Halloween), Kanon (yes over Clannad, but both are great), Slayers, Ghost in the Shell, Fate/Stay Night (really need to watch more of the Fate series)

For some reason, I have no love for Shingeki no Kyojin. It just didn't grab me and as I have a list over 100 long I dropped it after only an episode or two. Great piece of music though.
