Hmmm, didn't even cross my mind it'd have overheating issues... I'll look into it, thanks!

I know right? I'd be impressed if there is something better out there.

I was seriously considering buying the 1st one, but a 5.5 inches is screen is just too big for my liking. I have a phone with a 4.7 inches screen and even that gives me a bit of trouble sometimes.

I like a decent sized screen myself, as I really like to watch movies and play those games from the Android HBs and a small screen won't do justice most of the time....

When I bought the 1st one, and got it, I must say I didn't expect it to be that big. But now it feels normal and my old phone seems so tiny (can't believe I was able to work on such a small screen) :p
I guess you just have to get used to it...

That's nice. Indeed it seems like a big step forward, both in specs and an unrivaled price as far as my knowledge goes.

Well, the camera doesn't seem bad, but it's not what matters the most in a smartphone for me ^^

My phone only cost me £106 and it's really great. http://www.meizu.com/en/products/m2note/features.html

Just underclocked by 10% due to heat issues with the 810, it seems.

Great specs for an unbelievable price. Unfortunately Asus slapped themselves in their face due to the horrid custom ROM they threw on it. The ROM is laggy, slow, and clunky.
So far there are no official custom ROMS (only nightly Cyanogenmods).

For a mid-range phone it's pretty much the best bang you can get for your money.
Comment has been collapsed.
I agree. It currently is the best phone you can get for the price. I'm just waiting from some official custom ROMS to come out for it before jumping on it.

Well, there's this: http://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_2_battery_life_test-blog-13858.php
Pretty decent battery life IMO.

A lot nicer than my Nokia Lumia 520, I can't keep up with how much phones change!
My (awful) pc as a teenager had 1GB of storage. This phone had 64GB and you can do so much more with it. If only I could go back in time... oh wait, there would be no wifi :P

It has more RAM than my PC did a mere three years ago!

You'll get those 400 euros way before an invite it seems :/

Well the point is I won't even bother to save 400 euros :D
I am using a non smartphone touch screen Samsung and it's more than enough for me. The price is tempting but still, I am not willing to give that much money for a phone which will need to be replaced in max 3 years.

Known about this phone for a while now, specs are great, I wouldn't mind getting it myself seen as my phone can only do phone things atm :'( Do you know when it'll be released?
Comment has been collapsed.
It is out already, yet, an invite, which I lack, is needed for purchase ;_;

The hardware sounds really good, too much for me personally though. However I don't really like the look of it, also it seems like it's too thin to feel good when being held. Then again the pictures in that site aren't the greatest.

Yeah, you should wait for the next iteration in my opinion.

I would totally go with the Oneplus Two if you need a new smartphone!
Few months ago I had problems with my old phone (SG2) and made research about all the phones out there.
Didn't want to pay a huge sum for the latest apple or samsung product, and I've heard a lot of good things about the 1+.
The only reason I stayed with my old phone is the fact that the Oneplus Two wasn't out at that time, and I thought it doesn't make sense to buy the old one when a new model gets released few months later...
If my phone would break right at this moment, I'd grab myself the Oneplus Two :)

That's what you think, the real deterrent here is the invitation system!

I've heard mixed things about the OnePlus One so I'm not sure personally, my friend had it but then he gave it to his gf from what I heard (we're kind of distant friends now).
I might've looked into it but I don't need to change a phone right now so maybe in the future, thanks for the info :)

Initially I wanted to buy One plus 2 for my wife but I was dissapointed by this phone (his pice is very big) and i bought Zenfone 2 , for a month and is very good phone withouth lag, good photos etc

So, this thread has two purposes.
First, I've read about this smartphone:
https://oneplus.net/2
It seems amazing, I believe it is the best priced smartphone as of now. I've read the company has a great customer service.
The specs:
Dimensions: 151.8 x 74.9 x 9.85 mm
Weight: 6.17 ounces (175 g)
Operating System: OxygenOS based on Android 5.1
CPU: 64-bit Qualcomm© Snapdragon™ 810 processor with 1.8GHz Octa-core CPUs
GPU: Adreno™ 430
RAM: 4 GB/3 GB LPDDR4
Storage: 64 GB/16 GB eMMC v5.0 (available capacity varies)
Display
Size: 5.5 inch
Resolution: 1080p Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), 401 PPI
Type: LCD In-cell
Camera
Sensor: 13 Megapixel (1.3um)
Lenses: 6 lenses to avoid distortion and color aberration
Front Camera: 5 Megapixel - Distortion free
Sensors: Fingerprint, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity and Ambient Light
Battery: Embedded rechargeable 3,300 mAh LiPo battery
At a price point of $389, pretty amazing for an unlocked phone, huh? I've been trying for quite some time to get one, as good as this phone is, it isn't sold to everyone, you need an invite to be able to purchase this cellphone, I've been trying to get one invite myself, but there are lots of entries...
That'd being said, If you'd like to help me move up -some- spots in the waiting queue, please let me know so I can send you my link.
THE GIVEAWAY
I'm running a whitelist giveaway for 5 copies of Duke Nukem: Project Manhattan. If you'd like to join, just reply in the comments what you think about this smartphone, or tell me some alternatives at this price-point, the GA will run for 4 days.
