So, this thread has two purposes.

First, I've read about this smartphone:
https://oneplus.net/2
It seems amazing, I believe it is the best priced smartphone as of now. I've read the company has a great customer service.

The specs:

Dimensions: 151.8 x 74.9 x 9.85 mm
Weight: 6.17 ounces (175 g)
Operating System: OxygenOS based on Android 5.1
CPU: 64-bit Qualcomm© Snapdragon™ 810 processor with 1.8GHz Octa-core CPUs
GPU: Adreno™ 430
RAM: 4 GB/3 GB LPDDR4
Storage: 64 GB/16 GB eMMC v5.0 (available capacity varies)
Display
Size: 5.5 inch
Resolution: 1080p Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), 401 PPI
Type: LCD In-cell
Camera
Sensor: 13 Megapixel (1.3um)
Lenses: 6 lenses to avoid distortion and color aberration
Front Camera: 5 Megapixel - Distortion free
Sensors: Fingerprint, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity and Ambient Light
Battery: Embedded rechargeable 3,300 mAh LiPo battery

At a price point of $389, pretty amazing for an unlocked phone, huh? I've been trying for quite some time to get one, as good as this phone is, it isn't sold to everyone, you need an invite to be able to purchase this cellphone, I've been trying to get one invite myself, but there are lots of entries...
That'd being said, If you'd like to help me move up -some- spots in the waiting queue, please let me know so I can send you my link.

THE GIVEAWAY
I'm running a whitelist giveaway for 5 copies of Duke Nukem: Project Manhattan. If you'd like to join, just reply in the comments what you think about this smartphone, or tell me some alternatives at this price-point, the GA will run for 4 days.

I got my oneplus two yesterday. Een i was trying to setuo my phone I already got my first bug (luckely it was mostly visual and skipable) after that everything worked nicely. The phone itself also feels great, I also ordered a flipcover with it and it fits amazing! Some people complain that the screen is only 1080p but im quite happy with it isnt that much different then 1440p and 1080p drains battery less. The design of the phone is also done very well. The lack of nfc doesnt really matter to me because I never use it, but maybe that's because I live in the nethetlands. The battery also is pretty good Today I used it for around 10 hours and only use a bit more then 50%. Recharging is also pretty good. People also complain about the heat but I only experienced that the phone got a LITTLE bit hot after a pretty long play of asphalt 8 and benchmarking. And the phone also does well playing games. Overal a great phone. (This was all types with a Oneplus Two).

I really appreciate your feedback on the phone. The reason it doesn't overheats as much as other cellphones with the snapdragon 810, is because this comes with an underclocked 810. Overall, I think that's not -that- bad. Even underclocked it beats the 805 ^^

Phone looks great. It's sleak and looks glossy. The only thing i have a problem with is that the phone is to long. Other than that, it looks great.

I know that phone, the first one was a great phone and i really want to get one (i have a samsung galaxy s4 and i want to change it xD). This brand makes phones really cheap for that performance. There are some photos (unofficial) about oneplus 3, i really want to see what monster can create now.

It's a pretty impressive phone for the stats. I would be interested in a stress test to see how durable it is.

Well, I own the Oneplus One, and can say that it's an amazing phone. Since Oneplus Two is pretty much the same in specs, and around the same price, I'd highly recommend it. As for am invite, go to the phone's forums and ask for one. Real simple. As for why the invite system is in place, it's for two reasons.

  1. The company is trying to create a network of people who use the phone. By taking an invite from a person who owns the same phone, you are interconnecting each other.
  2. This invite system also cuts off retailers.

Given time the invite system will also be removed, but that won't be anytime soon.

Now then have fun having to explain to your friends the name of your phone. Cuz it is pretty hilarious.

"Hey man what's your phone called?"
"1+2!"
"Uh, I asked you what the name of your phone is...."
"1+2?"
"3. Now srsly what's your phone called?"

Hm...Octa-core is looks good on paper but any software use only 1-2 threads at the time I personally use dual core and is more than enought for any soft and games :)
myPhone C-Smart cost me around 40$ in discounted price ;)

The specs on your phone make me cringe. Just the 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage would be hell for me.

But adding SSD card solving storage issue , 512MB is enough until you do not want use multiple programs at once ;)
Any way from daily usage side my phone is not slower than any top end smart phone, difference is only in synthetic tests, only camera quality and screen resolution is lower :)

The SD card is not very good if you need space for apps. Android M will help solve that but is not like that cheap phone will get the update to begin with. As for the RAM my phone has a little more (768MB) and it makes me want to throw the phone out the nearest window. Being able to multi-task and not have your apps constantly be killed is nice. I am glad the phone works for you but I would not be able to tolerate it.

Seems close to par with what I have, specs wise and it doesn't have the high name brand price. It seems like a good buy.

Where the hell did you read that the company has good customer service? If anything that is something it is criticized for. As for an alternative look at the Moto X Pure or Style depending on which country you live in.

I know theres already a post about the ASUS ZenFone 2 but I own one and highly recommend it. Very powerful phone and its cheap. Hasnt given me any issues in the last 4 months ive had it. Plus you could get it whenever instead of waiting. If you really want the OnePlus 2 keep in mind you might want to wait a bit after release until initial bugs and what not are sorted out and to hear actual reviews.

I think that phone is very good comparing Price VS Specs, I love Sony, I think that Sony Xperia Z3 would be good too and for more or less the same price, but the Z3 doesn't have QUAD-core or 3 GBS of ram xDDDDD

The Oneplus Two looks very nice, but the question is, how fast they update their Android, if bugs need to be fixed. Many companies take their sweet time after Google released their main update. Because of this, I'll get myself most probably a Google Nexus phone. Let's see, what the new one (release probably on tuesday) will bring.

Just small offtopic

I wonder If in the near future people will start use small tablets as a smartphones. Screen size is bigger and bigger in every year. I'm the only one thinking that almost all smartphones that we have now are too big?

I was thinking about buy new smartphone but for me almost all of them are too big. The only one that looks acceptable for me with size is Xperia Compact but still this is a huge difference for someone who is using for several years Xperia Mini Pro (with 3 inch size screen).
