Hard for me to believe other 5 games higher are better but maybe will check them at last on steam page ;)

Here's mine (I'll try to avoid ones in other lists). Also decided to stick with games only on Steam:

Really Fun Games:

1. Perspective

   • 3D puzzle game like Portal, the gimmick being you can freeze the 3D perspective to navigate a 2D character. Short student project, but the puzzle are really damn clever.

2. Everlasting Summer

   • Visual Novel. You're basically some dude that gets transported to a summer camp, trying to figure out how to get out, but also build relationships within the camp. Also has slight meta elements. This is a full sized VN so can be a little long.

3. Khimera: Destroy All Monster Girls

   • Really polished 2D action platformer like Shovel Knight/Mega Man. Fun abilities and movement options, and really good level design.

4. Prologue for a Vacant Kingdom

   • Top Down 2D Adventure Bullet Hell. I found it really charming and the bullet hell battles and the adventure puzzles are both really well made.

5. Grimm's Hollow

   • 2D RPG. I know this was mentioned above, but I quite like it so I thought I'd mention it anyways. The story was really nice.

6. Fausts Alptraum

   • RPGmaker adventure game. Fun puzzles, great art, and i like the spooky vibes of the abandoned mansion.

7. MetaWare High School (Demo)

   • Short Visual Novel. It's technically a standalone game, it being a Demo is one of the Meta aspects. I found it quite funny.

8. Sepia Tears

   • Visual Novel. You get met by a random girl who seems to be tied to some old memory you have. Has a really cold vibe, which i liked. Has a paid remake as DLC.

9. Saira

   • 2D platformer adventure game. Think of it like a metroidvania, but instead of one large area, there's a bunch of areas smaller in size represented by planets. It used to be a paid game, but the dev decided to make it free some time ago.

10. Trick & Treat

    • RPGmaker adventure game. Pretty solid puzzles and fun to explore the mansion.

11. Life Tastes Like Cardboard

    • RPGmaker adventure game, plays like a walking sim though. Really cool art style, very abstract and a very personal game by the dev.

12. NaissanceE

    • First person 3D puzzle platformer. I was quite impressed by how visually pleasing the game looks despite the minimalism in both color and geometry.

13. Confess My Love

    • Another RPGMaker adventure game. i really like how it all takes place in one room but has a bunch of endings. Also has a paid sequel (sort of) called Transparent Black.

Other Fun Games:

1. Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion

   • First Person Horror game. Can be repetitive, but has pretty fun moments. References other horror games quite a bit. There also a paid remake.

2. Gravitas

   • Short First Person puzzle game like Portal. Gravity mechanic was fun, and puzzle were alright,

3. Relic Hunter Zero

   • Top Down 2D Rouge Like. Somewhat simple in comparison to other paid rogue-like games, but relatively easy to get into and still fun to play. The different charaters you can play as also feel quite different. Getting a free remix upgrade soon and also has a free to play sequel currently in early access.

4. When the Darkness comes

   • Walking simulator. Has a narrator similar to The Stanley Parable. Seemed like a very personal game.

5. Emily is Away

   • Visual novel in the form of a old MSN messenger. Has paid sequel.

6. Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt

   • Fun little top down 2d adventure game where you help people out by healing them in 2d shoot em up like battles. Has paid sequel.

7. Eternal Senia

   • Fun little RPG adventure game with YS like combat. Story is simple but cute.

8. Awkward Dimensions Redux

   • Abstract Walking simulator. It seemed very personal with the devs commentary being a core aspect of the game.
