If you want a more elaborate: no single-GPU system needs a stronger PSU than that, unless you have some really power-hungry high-end GPU. A GTX 1050 is anything but that; it draws around 70 W under full load. The entire consumption of your system under stress test will be under 220 W. A better-grade 300 Watt power supply could power your PC comfortably. It is just PSUs are the thing most people really like to tend to overcalculate. And I mean really overcalculate. There are fully-fledged PCs than need less than 15 Watts of power at full load.

I don't think so, you will need more than that tbh.

This might help. :) When I was building my PC everything I read kept suggesting a PSU over 500W just to be safe even for simple systems, there's no harm going over but going under could wreck your machine.

Just remember that PSU manfacturers like to suggest much more power than is neccesary.
Depending where you live you may also consider Bequiet PSUs which are the quasi-standard in Germany.

The only thing I'd add to what mjneal said, is... Be sure the PSU you get is at least 80+ Bronze Certified. Higher certifications like silver and gold are better, but bronze I find is good enough, you simply don't want to get a psu that doesn't have the certification.

You can get away with a smaller one, but if the price is right, it sounds like a good size. I would suggest a power supply bigger than you need for 3 reasons.

Tier 1-3 is acceptable. 450W would be just enough.

Hello,
I wonder if a Thermaltake 450W (Active PCF) will be enough to power :
CPU : i5-4460 (3.2Ghz)
GPU : GTX 1050Ti 4GB
RAM : Avexir 2x4GB (8GB kit)
HDD : 1TB WD HDD
Thanks :)
