Well to be fair, blacklisting people still means a common way to get blacklisted, yea it's automatically now and instantaneous but it's still a reason, he should just scratch the "that blacklisted you" part.

If only that was the case. There are still a lot of people who will blacklist others not knowing about the recent change, or just not caring.

A common reason to blacklist someone tend to be poor ratio ...
IF you blacklist someone who doesnt make giveaways it doesnt really affect you in any way does it :p

People can always change their ways and start making giveaways for the site. There was a user recently who after 2 years of not making GAs started making some highly wishlisted GAs.

I once created a GA with some trash game and wrote inside the description box something like "This is a giveaway to blacklist bots. If you enter you will be blacklisted" and A LOT people entered.
Those noobs blacklisted me back because they were using bots and got blacklisted by me - lol

Some people use scripts and/or extensions to enter giveaways without opening them (like ESGST). Me too, but I use also option to pop up a window if there is description ot comments

Yeah, well there's many causes and in the end, people tend to abuse it. Luckily, they can't enter your giveaways, even if you didn't blacklist them.

I don't care much about being able to enter or preventing them from entering. However, I do get a bit annoyed by some of the reason. I have seen many people complain in threads about how they were BLed for silly stuff.

Treating people with a cold shoulder and blacklisting them without telling them why is rather foolish, but I get it. I don't know them, they don't know me. 🤷🏻♂️

This is a mistake I made. When I stopped commenting on GAs, I stopped completely. I wouldn't thank the GA creator even when I won. However, I have learnt my lesson not and I now only thank after winning. I usually never comment on any GA otherwise.

I personally respect all cultures and religions. I find it distasteful to enforce a culture or religion only anywhere nowadays and disregard others. I am not up to date with when Eid or Ramdan or Diwali is happening, but I'm happy to see a cultural mix. I like living in UK for that reason. Born as a Christian Orthodox, although I don't follow it anymore, I have respect for diversity. As long as any religion isn't enforced, I don't see why it should be hated or blacklisted on.

People are weird. It's probably because of your "ratio." Oh gosh, they care so much about "ratio" around here. If they don't have more given than won, they must go on blacklist.
And the thing about that is that no one would be entering any GAs at all if everyone on the site had to keep a positive ratio.

I'm not sure, but I've been blacklisted for reason 26, 29 and probably 6. Although I've not considered fighting, but rather sharing opinion, I was told that I messed up at accepting criticism. The person was nice enough to tell me about it, so yeah. Lesson learned. I probably got blacklisted for making random topics to engage with the community and try to keep it active and alive. I like to connect with people, but maybe that may upset people? 😅

A thing I tend to hit myself more often than once in my life. Trying to make people, not like me, but be at least neutral. I don't like being disliked for something I am not. I like myself, even if that sounds egocentric, but for real now. I don't think I'm by far perfect, and I'm flawed by all means, but I still accept and love myself the way it is. I think all people should work on that and only then they can pour onto others.

That's a nice thought, and I guess that behavior is also natural for all humans. However, I believe that it's impossible to make everyone like you, or even not hate you.
I think I was that way too when I was a kid, iirc, but gave up on such ideology because I realized it's impossible to achieve, and all that energy and efforts might be better spent at other areas, or something like that.
Anyway, I don't think you are wrong to believe in your beliefs. Everyone to their own, I guess.

I agree with you. I tend to fill this energy and desire from a place of abundance.
I don't believe it's impossible, but in the end there's no need to put energy in something that is forced. I eventually come to realization that the opinion of someone, bad or disrespectful towards me makes no difference, because I don't need to absorb his hate or dislike and rather focus on the people that want to listen and care about what I say.

most people who blacklists do nothing on this site. no positive interaction on forums, neither giveaways (which is the only purpose of blacklist someone). blacklist for those is the only thing they can do, because whatever else they do is, literally, no one doing nothing.

I got blacklisted many many times over the past month for shitting on Putler/DICKtin. It is sad to think that there are that many people here who are unwilling to admit that Putler is doing a REALLY bad thing in his invasion of Ukraine.

Don't EVER personally add me. I'm not your friend, I'm just a stranger online who gives out games because of time constraints, being satisfied mostly with his library and out of generosity in one. I have a close knit group of friends I prefer to interact and/or game with, I'm fine, thanks.

I learned it's easy to get blacklisted by simply:
- Not being bigoted towards any race/nation/ideology. (E.G: not saying all Russians support Putin yielded me a few BLs, or heck even simply saying happy Ramadan give me a few BLs).
- Not supporting Putin with his war.
At least it's easy to filter out the trash this way.
On the other hand it also opens quite a few WLs, which again makes it easy to find some decent people here.

Whatever the reasons are, being blacklisted gives me a sort of a self-important sense of victory that they won't get to enter my giveaways. In reality, they're not losing much by blacklisting me. I'm just one of thousands. But I'll continue reveling in it purely for grandiose delusional fantasies. I'm self-aware, so it's harmless fun.
