FB for birthday notifications

Great sir or madame, I must utter the word of neutrality that is neither. I shall not voluntary speak for either company for they have not pleased my well-being generously, and I should dare include, might have jaundiced the life of mine terribly so. Each diurnal course from then on the time of my social retire among Mark Zuckerberg's people and the Blue Bird folk less than a score ago, my essence has bolstered! Clearly see my intention should you honor my word, that I do not desire to provide my vouch, is the utmost significance for me.

I know I'm getting old because the social media craze completely escaped me. I only finally caved and made a facebook account in order to keep in touch with some international friends who tended not to use email often so I mostly just use that as a message inbox. as for twitter, I've about as much interest in it as I do in throwing darts at my own knees
though thinking about it I don't think I ever had a myspace account either, although I do plead guilty to having used AIM back in the day and whatever that other one was called that sat in a bar along one side of your screen and did similar messagey stuff

It depends what you want from it.

FB is definitely better for keeping up with friends and family. You can get plenty of details and leave comments for everyone to see.
Twitter is good for the headlines. If you want to get more info on something you click the links or photos. It's like a glorified RSS feed.

Neither is perfect though :)

Twitter -> for following people from foreign countries
Facebook -> for following people from my country

I use Facebook sometime to enter giveaways or communicate with companies. I use Twitter mostly the same way. I used to have a Facebook page where I posted hardware giveaways I came across, and I sometimes posted links to interesting science articles on Twitter, but I don't do either these days.

Both are blocked in Iran but i have a telegram account with a few friends there.

I don't have Twitter and Facebook. Never needed it, never missed it.

Twitter. I like following interesting people and seeing what they are up to, and that's something Twitter let's you do. In Facebook you need to be friends with people, and I don't have friends, which is precisely why I like following strangers in Twitter. :D
