To make a long story short, my (thankfully not dominant) left hand was severely crushed and with metal pins all throughout my fingers I can't go back to work and can't even think about the games I'd usually waste my time off with using a controller, let alone play anything using a mouse and keyboard...gotta love how MCC flights finally start next week apparently too :(

I need something to occupy my time for at least the next 4 weeks, my biggest problem is point & click games are my absolute least favorite genre...I'd still be willing to try some if the story was captivating enough though...I'll likely be giving TWD and some other Telltale games a try, definitely the 2d Fallouts and Wasteland 2 because those seem most up my alley. Just curious what games you guys might have played and loved that you don't need two hands for!

Obligatory giveaway open to everyone just delete the part it says to

Edit: Wow, thank you for all the great recommendations and kind words they really do mean a lot. I'll soon be trying many of what I already own and looking towards splurging on the ones I don't once the summer sale starts haha. Again thank you guys y'all are an awesome community

Some (or most) of these were already mentioned, but some good games which I played and liked and can be played with one hand:

I would advise a Turn-based Strategy game, like Heroes of Might & Magic III (or any other from the series). (The Complete Edition is on GoG and the HD version is on Steam. The HD doesn't have the expansions.) Or Sid Meier's Civilization V.
Or maybe a Visual Novel, like Steins;Gate.
There are some Real-Time Strategy games which don't require hotkeys like Tropico 4 (or any other from the series) or Plague Inc: Evolved. Or GemCraft - Chasing Shadows just keep your mouse on the pause button just in case.
You could try a Puzzle game, like Glass Masquerade or The Room.
And also there are some good RPGs like Sid Meier's Pirates! or some RPG Maker games.

Edit: I see you've already completed Glass Masquerade. (But since then it got a new dlc.)

I'm sorry to hear about your hand, YuriDiculous. I hope it will heal soon.

As to games: turn-based RPG's and strategy games should be playable one-handed, some just have better UI than others.

And I was so sure this would be an x-rated thread.

My favorite one-handed game is Letter Quest.

If you like the first fallout, I can recommend Arcanum.

Sorry about your hand, hopefully it'll heal soon. I wonder if you'll have success with Telltale games since they still do require bit of coordination between keyboard and mouse, but not that extensively so you might manage.

If you just want to waste time without any point to it, go for The Sims. Otherwise here's some suggestions:
The Descendant
From Dust
Gemini Rue
Orwell: Keeping an Eye on You
Papers, please
Simulacra
This War of Mine

Damn, that's tough. I hope it heals well D:

A lot of strategy and turn-based games are easy on the hands. I probably played all of Fire Emblem one-handed, for example. Not for the anime girls, I swear :P

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but I used to co-op with my fam where one of us would take the keyboard and the other take the mouse and we'd clear games like that together. Did that with Bioshock Infinite, Mass Effect, Tomb Raider... it's pretty fun if you've got good company.

Sorry to hear about your hand... I hope you'll be fine soon!
As for the games... I remember playing Final Fantasy games (^^ the important part is that the fights are turn-based) with just one hand, so a lot of turnbased or strategy games should work. Basically everything where you have time to plan your moves.
City builders also come to mind, along with a good amount of puzzle games.

I'm sorry if the games I'm going to link won't be exactly your cup of tea ._. But who knows, maybe one of them will be interesting ^^

Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark is a lovely tactical RPG and you shouls be able to play it with a mouse only.

Muse Dash might not be your cup of tea ^^" but hinestly, the music is catchy, the visual are cute and the controlls consist of two buttons (and are customizable).

Sigma Theory: Global Cold War should be playable with mouse only and is, in my opinion, a fun game. I never mnanaged to win, but it was always a great experience!

Domina is great. You train your Gladiators, bribe the Magitrat and Legat to favour you and the only thing you would need your second hand is to controll your Gladiators in battle (and I would not recommend it x.x they are fine on their own, probably even better then when controlled by the player).

Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition as well as the other "Pen and Paper" games are, as far as I know, all playable with one hand and really a ton of fun :D

And although I know that you don't like point & click games, I still want to recommend you Deponia: The Complete Journey. It's funny, clever, deeper than you might think and overall a great game (or rather a trilogy)!

Meanwhile some games that nobody mentioned (I THINK):

World of GOO
https://store.steampowered.com/app/22000/World_of_Goo/

Desktop Dungeons (amazing, addicting, time consuming, and amazing again)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/226620/Desktop_Dungeons/

Diablo 1 (I think is very methodical and playable with one hand, maybe not Hellfire that is faster paced)

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

Turn-based RPGs can be a good choice, sure. So, Divinity: Original Sin 1-2, The Banner Saga 1-3, Shadowrun trilogy, Torment: Tides of Numenera, The Age of Decadence, Expeditions: Conquistador & Expeditions: Viking, Ash of Gods: Redemption. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire has got a turn-based mode recently (haven't tried it yet though).
