It's unlikely you didn't recoup the measly 499 coins. You get at least two cards with coins. I earned 1250 + 100 gold or something like that + 10 diamonds, without being able to redeem the card. It's still a win.

Out of curiosity, where did you take your screenshot?
I took mine after skipping the tutorial, standing in front of some tent, so that name would be easily readable on the white background, but I was a bit worried that they meant to take a screenshot immediately after creating the character.
It's quite annoying how vague these task descriptions can get sometimes.

Screenshot was immediately after creating character - since game is actually running and I thought that main idea of quest was to use lootboy's reference at download link. But once again I failed to understand their logic.

Yep, in some games user able to set (change) nickname only after completing tutorial.
But this time - char created with custom username and here is main concern. And in quest there is nothing about completing some special action or about specific moment during this game.

The name you chose will appear above your player model (doesn't appear during the tutorial), that's what they requested. I agree they could have worded it better to be less confusing.

You can check that by finding the game's page in Itch.io (not the immanitas one, but the original) and seeing if purchasing the game also gives you a Steam key. However, even if that's the case, IMHO chances for that from Lootboy = very close to 0. Note that the games given by Lootboy from Itch.io are from a different maker, "immanitas" - they act as resellers, basically, and I doubt any of those games will come with a Steam key.
