Shadow of Mordor was regionlocked retroactively?

according to this reddit thread there was a retroactive region lock, so check your gift copies and be careful with purchases outside your region.

Btw it's on sale for the next ten hours over at Nuuvem for R$ 69,99. Converts to ~ 22,50 €. Dollars I don't know.
