As most of the others here I add people who are helpful and nice in the forum, also members who create fun events and puzzles. The won/given ratio is not important. If I see someone making a bot trap public giveaway they're one step closer to my ❤list, liking the same type of games is also a plus (my whitelist giveaways are for games I loved or would love to play myself).
I have my own little system of adding to my colored lists, I use the tagging feature of SG++, so I always make little sidenotes about people with pluses and minuses. I actually had a person on my blacklist who is now on my whitelist.

I was about to whitelist you for this - but then I noticed you already are on my whitelist. :D

I keep it pretty simple:
done. it's as simple as that. :)

I blacklist re-gifters and "why do I never win" whingers mainly, them and the occasional rude prick...
I whitelist people who I have fun interactions with, I usually whitelist people who whitelist me, people like that guy earlier in the thread who realised he'd broken rules and asked to be reported, and chicks I want to bone...just kidding ;) Or AM I?? Seriously though, most of the reasons I whitelist have been mentioned by others already so, yeah...

Thank you for the chance.
I add friends/people I like/ people who do good to the community. Not like it matters, though, as I won't do a whitelist GA any time soon, or possibly ever.

So far, there are 2 people on my whitelist, and none on my blacklist. They're there because I thought they were awesome/nice people, that deserve to be included if I ever want to do a whitelist giveaway (Which, tbh, is unlikely)

No whitelist or blacklist yet. I want to enter people's giveaways and they can enter mine. Only reason I considered having a whitelist recently was when I did a group GA and thought it would be nice to include a few other people with it, but I decided against it. I just usually do a lvl requirement on my giveaways, give away to people who are giving back, who clearly know how site works and I know will mark game as received. (hope that's who and not whom, I can't grammar today. :) )

OK, silly question time. I'm extremely tired and fried right now, I haven't slept since Sunday night so there's a good chance it's right under my nose and I can't see it, so please forgive my astounding stupidity as my brain feels like old tapioca pudding right now, but....Where the Hell are the Black and Whitelists? How do I check who's on them?

I see, excellent, thank you very much for your help. I'm assuming I just substitute Whitelist for Blacklist, too? It may not mean much right now, but you've made your way as the 2nd person on my Whitelist. Many thanks for the answer, I appreciate it.
EDIT It worked for Blacklist, awesome

I've been working on adding to my whitelist for the past couple weeks, mostly because I actually DO whitelist give aways (usually with a small group or two as well (primarily the GOG Sg)) Still only just got to 40 (minutes ago off this thread :P )
I saw a few people on here that "know" how many blacklists they are on... How does one get that info? I'm only 100% sure of one (because he made a group one I couldn't enter) but I'm typically not the LEAST bit "politically correct" so I'm sure I must have earned others.

I used to only whitelist people with a cat avatar, mostly as a joke between me and myself since I never really used it. I've since cleaned it out though; perhaps I'll start using it as intended.

The entire site minus a few users is my whitelist. I'd make a private or group giveaway if I wanted to restrict it to specific people. I don't intend to ever use the whitelist feature.
As for those few users I mentioned... all I'm going to say is that if I have to contact support about you, you won't be entering any more of my giveaways.

users who are generous but also nice and friendly people, not only in this site but also from other sites, sometimes I got mad and add ppl with nice names which remember me things XD, but anyway they all are good users whit whom I end up talking in the giveaways or also in other chatrooms

All the nice people here on SG end up on my whitelist slowly one after the other. People that were helpful, people that are funny, people I've "talked" to and I liked, people who stand out with their responses to my puzzles or my silly questions in my giveaways. As I'm around here for a while now my whitelist almost has 150 people on it. I love to give some treats occasionally and be sure, somebody I really like will end up with it :)
Edit: Sorry for being late, I just discovered this topic now, but thanks for the question. I found it really interesting to read other people's answers. And I never add any of those people asking for a whitelist entry ;)

The GA wasn't the reason for the thread, so no harm done. I'm actually about to edit it out now. I've got a bit to go to 150 with about 50 on mine. I found it interesting, especially with some of the varied responses.

All the kids these days are into zombies anyhow, so a thread coming back to life is probably hip and with it right now. This is just me getting down with my bad self. That, that is a good thing, right? Am I cool yet?

My whitelist is filled with people who have quite frequently given more than they have won or they have a high CV level. This is so that when I do a whitelist giveaway I am rewarding those people for their generosity. Other than that, there are a few friends and those who's humor has earned a spot on my whitelist.

Entirely curious, but how do the people of Steamgifts choose how to or not use the whitelist feature? Mine is either a very good ratio of Ga's to wins, by either amount or quality, or a decent one and active in the forums, or a decent one and a fun event. And because I seem to not be able to create a discussion without a GA, here one is for Runaway: A Twist of Fate. Level 2 restriction.
EDIT: GA over.
If you do not use the whitelist feature, why not?
