Purchase the APRIL monthly bundle!

A curated bundle of games sent to your inbox every month. When you subscribe, you'll immediately receive "The Witness" with more to come and enjoy 10% off in the Humble Store!

Subscribe before the FIRST FRIDAY OF APRIL (7th April) for $12* to receive the APRIL bundle

  • Note: Some people may have 10% off coupons for NEW subscribers for the monthly bundle. These coupons will apply to your purchase, and you will pay $10.80 instead of $12.
  • If you are a recurring subscriber, you will be AUTOCHARGED ON MARCH 31st, 2017

Also, it's too late to buy the March Monthly Bundle. You will therefore NOT receive that bundle by purchasing this one!

Important notes:

  • You may already own Tumblestone, due to it having a trial version from e.g. HB Yogscast bundle (read Tumblestone's announcement here). Check your account details on Steam to see which version you own! You can however add the key from this bundle to get the FULL version despite 'owning' the trial version!
  • You can still click on "Redeem on Steam" despite it being greyed out! Very useful especially to get the key for Tumblestone.

Note:

You can choose to get $5 HB store credit INSTEAD of The Witness if one bought The Freedom Bundle! Read more here!

Bought The Freedom Bundle? Get $5 Credit instead.

YES! I love what I see!! ❤‿❤ *Buys*
I already have the early unlock, but I'll buy it anyways! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
I'm an annual subscriber, so I don't really have a choice at this point! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tempting... *Grumble grumble* Gimme some time to consider! ᶘ ᵒᴥᵒᶅ
No.. I'm not interested in the early unlock, so I won't take any risks! ヽ(`Д´)ノ
No, because I need to save money! (╥_╥)
I wanted to skip, but I forgot to unsubscribe.... щ(ಠ益ಠщ)

Can anybody who's familiar with the game give me a short rundown of the differences between the 2 versions of Kingdom and ideally an recommendation which one to start ?

I've read New Lands adds more content but some of the reviews claim it also gets harder and more frustrating.

Looks like you can no longer buy "classic", on Steam, at least.

But apparently all keys for New Lands give you the Classic Edition as well. And since both versions have seperate achievements and cards I was wondering which one is better.

Ah, that's sweet! So, you can try both. I guess I would start with Classic, play a few games, then play a game of New Lands, draw some conclusions.

Yeah, that's probably what I'll do after having read the Community forums a little bit. Probably a good idea to get familiar with the basics first without maybe getting overwhelmed by the additional content :)

I just bought the bundle without The Witness (which I already had anyways) for $8 on Group Buys. Sold Black Mesa straight away, since I already have that too, so I got the 3 games I wanted for $5.5 and even have some leftovers for gifting. That went as planned :D

...Huh. I did not want this. I never signed up for this. And then yesterday I was wondering where I had lost 12$ and today I got an email that I can now access my April games. Apparently kept saying "Oh, I'll unsubscribe tomorrow..." and eventually tricked myself into thinking I already had.

unless eeev beats me to it again:

There is always plenty of overflow at group buy ... I will probably unsubscribe and just pick up the ones I want from there in the future.

Pretty good bundle, though nothing on my wishlist so I'm glad I skipped it :3

Thumbs up on this bundle. Seriously, Witness, Event[0], Black Mesa, New Kingdom, are all ones I can see me players. Layers of Fear is quality even though I'm not much for games w/ jump scares (but I hear it might not be too bad in that regard, so maybe I'll give a try). All really good value from the bundle.

OMG! Two wishlist games and one that was almost wishlisted. I'm in backlog heaven.
To be honest I only subscribe to the monthly for these indie gems. I never activated the revealed game.

Five wish listed games and two of them were high on my wish list so glad I bought it this month :) Probably the best monthly so far for me.

Only one that even slightly interested me that I don't own was event[0] so not a great bundle for me.

Can someone tell me how does Black Mesa compare to Half-Life Source (the original HL with the Source engine) ?

Permalink

Half-Life source is a lift and tuck of the original, Black Mesa is an almost complete graphical overhaul, some changes to level design, and a good amount of polish as well. Black mesa is also still being worked on and isn't QUITE done yet, though the last area in the original game which has yet to be implemented in Black Mesa, Xen, is apparently pretty far along. Hope that helped.

Thanks for the reply! I did notice the Xen question in the reviews.

I'm a Half-life lover but never played it again after Steam came out, only played HL2. I guess my best option is to play the Source version first, and to visit it yet again later with Black Mesa.

And Garry's Mod also need to check that one!

Does anybody know if redeeming Tumblestone full version key will "overwrite" the trial version?

Solidly average. It's nothing that thrills me, but each of the games looks okay and there's no stinker in here. I also somehow own nothing in this bundle, so that doesn't hurt. I'll give it a B, because there's nothing super compelling, but there's nothing wrong with it either... just like most of my papers T_T

It's an ok bundle for me. I never played Half-Life, so I think I'll give Black Table a try. And Kingdoms was on my wishlist.
