Dudes, get a decent job. Complete your studies. I do not know how it works in your country, but always be safe about your future, guys! Don't be like me who lives for the moment. You WILL eventually suffer from the consequences. Like I will do. I am sorry. I really hoped to reach Level 6 before this all will happen, but alas, it's hopeless.

Life ain't easy sometimes. The only thing for me to say right now is.. well.. enjoy your lives as well as you can and don't mess up like me.

Hang in there. Be thankful you are not one of the many who has things worse off than you do. As long as you keep trying to improve your situation and don't give up, it is simply a matter of time until things turn around for you.

The last thing you need to worry about is reaching another level on here. Focus on a finding a steady job and basic necessities. With that said, you're able to turn it around any moment you decide to do so.Take it from me as I was homeless once, living out of a small van.

Find the motivation to change the situation that you are in and run with it. Wishing you the best of luck my friend.

Oh, that sounds like you need a plan. I know there are about 20.000 homeless people in Berlin.

Ask yourself:

  1. What is your situation by now?
  2. Why did you get into that situation?
  3. Where do you want to go? (Job, home,...,steamgift^^ --> focus on the most important goals for you)
  4. What have you to change to get to your new goals and who could help you?

If you need help for answering one of the questions, feel free to contact me (gerne auch auf deutsch).

"Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose." Huh? :D
I used to believe in that too, but it can always get worse, and the last thing you wanna lose is your health and sanity...

To clarify the situation and to reply to the "Nobody has to be homeless in Germany"-posts:

I am in work. Yet my landlord will kick me out because he needs the apartment for himself. Yes, the German law actually allows that. Next thing is that there is a certain company named "SCHUFA", which stores credit history about you. Since I have done some crap back when I was a trainee and got my first credit card, they don't have that much of a nice credit history stored. This prevents one from getting an apartment since landlords want to see the info the SCHUFA has got stored.

And welfare won't get me an apartment or pay for it since I'm in work.

Ah, that's nice and complicated. At least you've still got a job though, so you could hopefully get by. Maybe post up fliers to try and be someones roommate? or ask coworkers?

About 10 years back a flatmate really dropped me in the shit - ran up debts on a credit card I had behind my back and then ran out on me owing a lot of money on rent and bills. I didn't know what I was going to do - I was sick with worry and was convinced I was going to be homeless. But it didn't happen (although as far I know my credit history is still bollocks).

Don't give up. Keep plugging away and try everything and don't be afraid to ask for help. There will be a solution and I'm sure you will find it.

=/ Hopefully you have a plan in place already. If not, use the time you've got now to figure out what kind of local homeless shelters you have and how you could utilize them. Check for local libraries that will let you use their internet and such so you can job hunt. The shelter is one of the more important ones, since it becomes VERY hard to impress at an interview if you didn't have the option to shower for a month.

Screw that, even if you've been making wrong decisions all up until now, one month is more than enough to get things working out or at least do a good start to cushion the impact, it's more important that you stay happy and living a good life than an SG level

Check your local city hall or local associations/fundations that can help you. Check family if possible.

I really appreciate the input from you all. I really do. I'm grateful that you spend your time trying to help me. However, regarding family, friends or even coworkers.. I don't have that kind of option. Also, I'm disabled due to my epilepsy, so most people wouldn't let me into their shared apartment. It's sad but it's the truth.
