This game looks incredible all around; I've been looking forward to it for years and I'm so glad it seems to have turned out to be everything I could have wanted. It makes me so sad that they signed on with a publisher that turned out to be a real piece of work, and I hope there will be a way to support the devs directly.

A few weeks back a Medium post came out detailing a history of broken promises, poor communication, and missed payments (among other things) that led one dev team to cut ties and another to start calling Dangen out publicly. This is a good summary with links to archives of the original posts (content probably not safe for work).
It bites because basically all the games they're publishing are right up my alley and I want all the best for the developers, but it sounds like they've been put through a lot of garbage.
