DO IT.

A lot of people seemed to love Gemini Rue and while I agree that is a good example of the genre, Resonance blossoms into a much better story overall. It is tougher with the puzzles, but worth the investment.

Considering all the past point and clicks I have played, I would have to say either Shannara or Loom

on a side note shannara is abandonware and I would encourage anyonethat likes a p&c to try it out.

Hah! I got stuck on the puzzle in Ace Ventura with the totem pole and gave up. Pre-internet and walkthroughs I guess!

Thanks for reminding me, I must try and boot that up again one of these days :)

It has to be either Monkey Island 2, Strong Bad, or Sam & Max Hit The Road/Devil's Playhouse

Torchlight qualifies for P&C? If not, I'd say The Walking Dead.

I haven't played many point and clicks, but "the walking dead" might have been my favorite game of 2012.

I have literally never played a point-and-click game. I feel somewhat ashamed.

Don't be ashamed!

Jump in with Day Of The Tentacle or Monkey Island and then explore the genre from there...
