ITT: Old games, preferably underrated or generally overlooked, that you miss or have fond memories of. Maybe you think they deserve a sequel or revival?
Edit: Please elaborate your thoughts on the game =D

Mechwarrior Series, there was a game in works but I don't know what happened to it
I still play Mechwarrior every once in awhile, it's so much fun to be in control of up to 100 tons of firepower.

Roadwar 2000 - this was basically a low graphics mostly text game in a future similiar to Mad Max. You started a gang and could find vehicles and fix them up and recruit gang members etc...

Twilight 2000 - It was based after world war 3, where most governments were in shambles. Similiar to Fallout, but the military was still functional with tanks and some aircraft etc.

I got two of em, Ranger X and Contra Hard Corps, for Genesis.

Both are blisteringly hard, but hell of a lot of fun.

Space Quest series (especially 4 and 6), Mr Do!, Donkey Kong Jr., Fester's Quest, Duck Tales, SNES Aladdin, Lufia II.

Space Quest and Lufia II weren't really overlooked, but I believe they are oldies worth mentioning. Some of my all-time favorites.

Edit: Oh! Also Betrayal in Antara. Buggy but good; not just a Betrayal at Krondor ripoff.

Hmmm... Does anyone else want to see Bethesda remake BaK?

I would honestly love to see Legend of Dragoon (PS1) get a fresh treatment. I know it's not as unknown as it might be, but it brought some nice concepts to the RPG table that could be well followed up on in a more graphically impressive, modern game.

Although not in the least sense underrated or overlooked, I just loved the Command & Conquer games, especially Red Alert 2. That was my first competitive online game and it will always hold a special place for me.

Other than that the big nostalgia games for me are the MechWarrior series, Ogre Battle, Eternal Darkness, and the Descent series. I would love for them to remake Eternal Darkness because it was scary enough on gamecube and I would love to see if they could top its original effect with updated graphics.

I installed the Dosbox game launcher recently, and discovered a big number of oldschool games i nearly forgot about:

Cyril Cyberpunk
Albion
Raptor: Call of the Shadows
Bio Menace
Monster Bash
Shadow Warrior
Normality

sigh Apogee, how many great games you brought us.
And who could forget the all-time classics Commander Keen, Dune 2, Jazz Jackrabbit and Z?

PS: I also found that an astounding amount of adventure games during that time were german-only, like Imperium Romanum (no, not that RTS game with the same name), Chewy: ESC from F5 and Die Höhlenwelt-Saga ("Caveword Saga")

I got to say I think about Rayman, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot for PS1 quite a lot. It affected me quite much, aswell as Total Annihilation, Starcraft and Age of Empires.

Broken Sword games and Tropico which are on sale on steam. So go buy them.

Yet they all have sequels.

No One Lives Forever is a really good game and it works on netbooks.

I started playing Cogs on steam and suddenly recalled an old game called The Incredible Machine. Does anyone remember? I am fond of logical games and was really hooked on the machine when I was a kid - played it day and night...
