I managed to kill Kleiner in Half Life 2 Episode 2, which was pretty sad simply because it was so unexpected. I was just throwing a chair around while he was talking about something, but then he walked into the chair and just rag-dolled mid sentence, making progress impossible as he couldn't finish his scripted sequence. It was even sadder as none of the other NPCs reacted at all, they just stood there, cold, unfeeling. :(
