Skyrim, the black sheep of the Elder Scrolls saga

I loved oblivion, thats the one I made lots of mods for.
I had a zombie fighting arena that you could place bets on, I even voiced it myself, but I sound like a spaz so it never got out. lol

+1 on that, the only reason why people say Skyrim is good is because of the mods the community makes, if the company didn't have it in their game, it's not their shit, you can't say a game is good for something someone else added into it

I wanted to say something like "I don't play any disappointing games, coz I know how to chose them", but when I saw your comment I actually realized that there was one... Such an epic failure...

Deadlight. It looked really cool, started off good, but it was less than two hours, the controls were horrible, and it had a worse ending than Mass Effect 3 with a delivery so ham fisted that it made William Shatner jealous. "WE ALL HAVE CHOICES!"

Fucking stupid controls. I have not ever seen a plataforming with such an awful response to controls.

By far, Spore.
The pre-release videos showed that it could have been so much more; but, they made the gameplay more shallow and focused more on five mini games than one, overarching theme. Maybe, someday, we will see the game Spore SHOULD have been, and not the joke that they released.

Alright, I'll give you an example.
In the alpha builds, they showed that a creature's stats were more dependent its construction, rather than the individual parts. Long legs, for example, could give greater speed but could also make your creature less agile. This would have given a more in-depth design phase where you have to think about how a creature is put together.
In the final game, certain parts had stats on them and the overall design of the creature didn't matter in the least. All that mattered was what feet and legs a creature used, for speed, and that it had a mouth in order to eat. The simplified creature design took away a lot of potential depth from the game.
I'm not even going to get into the removed creature stage and how they lobotomized the gameplay outside of creature creation. Let's just say what I saw before release and what I played were two, completely different games, with what I saw before being the far superior product.

Force Unleashed 2. What should have been a game that polished what the first one established, all it did was add a couple levels, undo the story from the first one and basically take a crap on everyone's chest that was silly enough to pay full price (I didn't and I was still disappointed)
DLC wrapped up in a "sequel". Pretty much everything Lucasarts has done in the last 10-15 years has been a spit in the face.

That'd probably be Diablo 3 for me. I've only played a few minutes of the game, but that was enough for me to give the game a 0/10.
Now, before you shoot flames at me for only giving the game a few minutes, here's my reasoning for it. Back when I tried it out, the game was unplayable. It wasn't because of my computer or anything like that, it was because I had, at the time, some very mediocre internet. Now, if I was trying to do some multiplayer then yeah, that would be expected, but I was trying to do single player. There should never be, in any shape or form, lag in a single player portion of a game due to shoddy internet. It could be the greatest game ever created and I'd still rate it a 0/10 for that reason. I'm not sure if they've fixed that issue yet or not, as I'm sure I'm not the only person who has felt this way about it, but by now, it doesn't make any difference to me since I've long lost any sort of interest in the game.

So... you had lag, and would give a game 0/10?
There is NO offline play in Diablo 3. You can take issue with that if you want, but, there is only closed battle.net... This ranks pretty highly on the 'stupid complaints' list I've read over the past year since D3 came out. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike the game, or prefer others, I don't think 'my internet sucks' is on that list.

"I've only played a few minutes of the game"
And that's why I can't take 95% of the D3 haters seriously. I might agree here and there with the rest, but eh.
It's like the 3.x metacritic score to the game, people couldn't log in the first day due to the rush, then headed to 0/10 the game there, and they keep up ever since.
It was retarded, still is retarded, and always will be.
With that mindset Path of Exile sucks.
But people will be much more forgiving towards that game. (Which I also love actually)

Is it really so unreasonable for me to be disappointed with the game due to an extremely overbearing DRM? I mean really, up until I moved it was impossible to play the single player portion game due to a terrible internet that I could not upgrade due to it being the only available option.

Mirror's Edge. So much promise with some awful design and enemy choices.
The demo is the best part.

-1, it's a a great game with neat design and not ordinary atmosphere, it was awesome for me.

Well, good for you. The topic is about what was the most disappointing game I've ever played.
You can't "-1" an opinion, as it's not a fact. It's not like you're going to be able to change my mind.

I wanted to love it. Had some really great stuff (the free-running parts were excellent); but the flaws were too much for me to overlook and they ruined it for me.

Deadly Premonition... A friend recommended it to me and told me to expect a hilariously awful ride. Yes, it was filled with so-bad-it's-funny moments, but mostly, it was just plain terrible and miserable to play.

Ah yeh, that too. Got in to the beta and it was just a huge map of nothing and barely worked.

Might give it another go. The dev team upgraded my beta to the full version for free, kinda feel bad not playing it haha!
