Recommend a good SCI-FI movie [now with public IMDB watchlist]

I come to threads like these to find something i havent yet watched and every time realize that i've seen all movies worth seeing already :D

Have not read all the suggestions, but District 9 was impressive to me. Also recently saw The Martian. That was pretty good too.

Firefly is a tv show that lasted 1 season only, though its great, if you want a movie, serenity, which is a movie based on the show (to end it properly), though you can watch it without watching the show first

The Twilight Saga xDD it's about a vampire that go to school in the morning and fucks whit a girl that want be a vampire or something similar, well that girl fucks everyone vampires, wolfs, etc.... xDDDD very good films xDDD

Just looked at your imdb list and noticed there's no Kaena: La prophétie so you should check that one too.

Most my suggestions are either obvious or probably already been said, so without stating the obvious "watch Star Wars" here's a couple of my faves.

1. Blade Runner, such a great film and such a great game as well. Philip K. Dick wrote some great sci-fi novels and this is probably the best film adaptation, even if it was hated before the directors cut.
2. Total Recall, again the original, its actually pretty deep for Arnie madness! Raises questioks on "what is real?"
3. Log Horizon, its like Sword Art Online but good.
4. Ghost In the Shell, the anime not the film, not because I hate the film but because I've not seen it to comment on how good it is. The anime though is stellar.
5. Interstellar, not a big fan of modern sci-fi usually but this was great!
6. Steins;Gate, timetravel microwave 'nuff said, perhaps one of if not the best anime there is(in my opinion).
7. Dune miniseries, it does Dune some justice, hoping the eventual new films we get reboots the series and does it justice. It should be as big as LotR, Star Wars, Star Trek and all the other huge fantasy franchises. How this isn't a cash cow is beyond me.
8. Rick & Morty, great comedic TV show which heavily relies on sci-fi elements.
9. Cowboy Beebop, 3, 2, 1 lets Jam! If anything for the theme, its not as good as everyone says but its still great!
10. Evangellion, get in the fuckin' robot Shinji. Watched it so many times, its still like I'm on acid whilst I'm watching it.

There is a German film I watched which I really loved. Its called Cargo. The tagline "Space is Cold" really fit the theme of the story. I would suggest it.
