Not since Chewbacca got arrested for creating Wookieleaks did anything excite me as much as Kerbal Space Program / Dead Rising 4 / RUINER in a bundle!
At this point I'm just subscribed for extra wallet credits from Humble Indie Bundles. I find this meh, but I'm still too lazy to cancel my sub.
Tempted to buy, I might be, or I might not. Guide me, the force must.
"Luke… I'm reading a great book about Force Levitation.. I can’t put it down – but I'll at least cancel my sub."
Not convince me to purchase the bundle, this does. Try harder next time.
I'm certain they'll uncover a certain Star Wars themed free to play MMO as a Late Early Unlock. Oh wait, that's not on Steam.
Why did Anakin cross the road? Same as Humble, to get to the Dark Side! Vader = IGN confirmed.
At this point I'm just subscribed for extra wallet credits from Humble Indie Bundles. They haven't delivered the droids I look for in a long time. I find this meh, but I'm still too lazy to cancel my sub.

I hit pause for this month. Nothing I want so far.

Moon Hunters got me to reconsider buying this, but still.. only 2 games I want (KSP & MH). Might be better off buying the $12 tier of the strategy bundle -- all games I want and only own one! Weird that they decided to reveal 3 more on 3 unlocks bundle, though.

Hmm some of the recent reviews for KSP bring up some worrisome points in the updated EULA:

""The information we collect may include personal information such as your first and/or last name, e-mail address, phone number, photo, mailing address, geolocation, or payment information. In addition, we may collect your age, gender, date of birth, zip code, hardware configuration, console ID, software products played, survey data, purchases, IP address and the systems you have played on. We may combine the information with your personal information and across other computers or devices that you may use.""

Wooah, how are they going to get my name via Steam, unless Valve provides all that information to them. In any case, I don't mind them collecting my name and geoposition, since I don't use VPN and don't appear with fake names, but my picture, purchase data and date of birth is a private thing, and here in Finland date of birth is used in everyone's social security number. I suspect that language is just in there as a sort of protection thing in case of a lawsuit.. More so then them actually going out of their way to collect that information..

Yeah. I was tempted to grab this bundle because of moon hunters, jalopy and kerbal, until news of this came out.
I'm not sure what to do atm :(

Moon Hunters interests me, but I worry now that they've revealed most of the games that the rest will be absolute garbage. I haven't been impressed with Humble lately, so this monthly may help decide whether I keep buying bundles from Humble. It seems recently like they've put a ton more work on the store side of things, and I can't justify a monthly subscription for a 10% discount when other sites often have deals as good or better than Humble, even for things like preorders where 10% can be very nice. GMG almost always has 20-25% preorder discount vouchers, Fanatical will have really big sales on some decent games once in a while, and even the Steam store gets more diverse sales, so Humble really needs to step up its game compared to the last couple months if it wants to keep my interest up.

hmm, new sale strategy - reveal 6 games and remove 2 after few days, so only early buyers will get all 6 +bonuses? :O

this message is still here so i think its just a bug

Immediately receive Kerbal Space Program, Dead Rising 4, and RUINER (Total MSRP: $99.97) with more to come!

Ok so I have to find out how to pause my subscription. 6 revealed games I do not have any interest in. Hopefully they do not present that one special game after I've paused for the first time.

You need to go to your User Settings page from which you'll have an option to "Change my plan" or "Cancel my plan" (clicking this one leads you to another page where you can pause 1 month).

not really sure why they are showing 6 games, the first three were really strong to get people to make the choice or not,, although I guess only having 3 hidden games left means I won't be in for as much of a shock come the first Friday of the month.. Looks like a really solid bundle for 12 dollars..

Kerbal and Dead Rising 4 for 12 was an awesome deal.. even though I owned Dead Rising 4, I was on the fence for Kerbal at 16 forever anyway..

There are the ones with a subscription, so they already bought the Monthly.

And for the ones without a subscription :
There are the ones who were interested by the first 3 games and already bought/will buy the Monthly.
And there are the ones who were not so interested by those 3 games and paused for a month (like me, only interested by Ruiner). I suppose that Humble-IGN try to convince a portion of this category to unpause by showing them a little more of the full monty Monthly. Personally, I'm quite okay with this new move.

(Or course, there are also the ones who meh-ed the first games and planned to take their decision at the end of the month, who now see a few more unwanted games and pause for good. Humble-IGN have the statistics, and we'll know very soon if people unpause more than pause late, at the announcement of the new batch of early games.)

I have now seen the new games revealed. Humble Bundle has already charged me and the games are available in my account (without revealing).

Is it too late to pause/cancel the May humble?

Yeah. If you have never requested a refund on Monthly before, you can do so - they may give you a one-time exception (since Monthly is not refundable by ToS).

I think they're not selling many monthly bundles so maybe that's why they show more games ,can't think why else they'd do that.

I'm not sure that Moon Hunters, Jalopy and Crazy Machines 3 would have had people jumping to sign up to the Monthly. Moon Hunters was, for me, the best of those 3 and it has very middling reviews.

Makes you worry for what is being revealed tomorrow evening. In fact, recently alot of the regular bundles from HH have been incredibly underwhelming. The best was the Endless/Strategy bundle and it was heavily padded out with DLC and underwhelming extras.

Yeh ,true ,i actually checked my paypal account was disengaged from the account details page for subscriptions.

Didn't want to risk accidentally buying one of those mediocre bundles :)

I do think it gradually gets harder for any bundle site to come with good stuff when they've been operating a while.

Everyone concerned does start getting a bit jaded and "seen it all before" type of thing.

I was happy to get the top 2 games into my steam library at a cheap price ,it's just the rest are not that great.
I'm sure there are some gamers who probably like all the other games so far..

Can someone explain a thing, I don't quite understand. Kerbal Space Program has region lock. Does Humble Bundle send me a RU/CIS key based on my IP? Or they send me a global key, which just gives me this: https://steamdb.info/sub/248619/ I wanted to give it away for european player but now I have a doubt.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They usually base it on the payment address associated with your account, so you are likely getting a RU/CIS key, even if you generate a gift link.
But since you want to give it to someone else, just generate a gift link and if it is region-locked, you'll get a warning window anyway.
