Whoa, I can't believe it. I actually managed to answer one of the grid characters before anyone else did. O_o
Inconceivable!
Well, I guess watching Samurai Jack several time paid off. :D
Hmm, so from now on the dilemma is if I see another question I can solve (kinda unlikely at this point) whether I'd answer it and progress the puzzle or let someone else answer it so that they can get an entry too... You're evil. XD

Finally i have one. After 8 hours . I have Stage 15a question 5

Man, I have seen every episode of south park but never managed to get one answer before someone else. Or, I did not know the answer. Oh well was good fun and thanks for the chance.

Yay! Finally had some time to attempt some questions. And got one because my girlfriend remembered the character from one of her favorite movies >.<

Given the amount of effort that Jexel has put into this contest, my vote is to make potential entrants go through the modest effort of finding all of the GA links.
Plus, if you just post all of the links here, I think that will increase the number of people who enter without having gotten a first correct answer to a question, which creates even more work for Jexel to perform re-rolls!

Thanks for offering it, though. I've compiled a similar list myself, mainly to keep track of which GAs I've already entered and which ones I still want to enter. Lots of points are needed!

I always make it rule in my group puzzles that you aren't allowed to share direct giveaway links. I think it's a good idea to have that rule.

Oh, by the way, can the first person to solve thing be applied to all quizzes, not just group quizzes? That would be useful to me, since I like keeping my group puzzles to individual quizzes.

Alright, since this is a group puzzle, and we don't seem to be making much headway into the Stage 17 Puzzle on our own, perhaps it's time we start pooling our ideas to try and solve this? Here's my best guess as how to start:
I'm thinking the pairs of numbers correspond to specific episodes, with the first number being the season and the second being the episode. If we do it this way, there seems to be characters somehow connected to those episodes in the grid.
01.07 -> Pinkeye -> Zombie Kenny
02.09 -> Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls -> Chef/Mr. Hankey
03.14 -> The Red Badge of Gayness -> Jimbo in his re-enactment uniform
07.10 -> Grey Dawn -> Grandpa with a gun
16.02 -> Cash for Gold -> Stan wearing his bolo tie
I may be way off base here, however if this does end up being the right track, I have no idea how to proceed. Ideas?

Well, I think same about the numbers >> they are episodes. And all have color in the title (even though in my country chocolate isn't name of color, but whatever). And hint says "Colors are important."
So we have: Pink, Chocolate, Red, Grey, Gold.
I have already 8 correct answers, but I like the challenge. So if you want co-op, add me on steam and we can brainstorm together.

Hm, and there are weapons in all those colors...
The thing that really throws me is that there are 5 episodes (or whatever) but we need 8 characters for the code.
Also, EVERY item exists at least 4 times. So I guess we somehow can use the persons to choose which pairing to use?

In 01.07 he isn't wearing santa's hat most of the time. The pic that you linked shows just a flashback which lasts for only like 10 seconds. And considering that Mr. Hankey wears santa's hat in most other episodes, 01.07 would be a strange choice to point to him..

Ok, completely agree with it being episodes, but I too am confused about 5 episodes with 8 "characters". What if we decide one of them is a red herring, which would make 4 REAL episodes, and 2 characters per episode, being person, weapon.
Does that make sense?
Also, whats the significance of some of the grid not having numbers/letters?

It's only items that have numbers/letters... People don't... therefore I would assume that somehow people "connect" multiple items together... multiple copies of the same item? cause it says Pair each member of your squad with an item type.

So we can connect things. If you can connect 2 items per person (one letter, one number), it may show a cell in grid?

My guess is that we have to look at the rows and columns where the characters from the episodes are. The colours are probably the items we need to use. I tested something like that and it resulted in 2 numbers + several letters. Didn't have any idea for the order so I didn't even try answering.

the format is listed as 6 letters and 2 numbers in the XXX#XX#X format
and it says Read the codes top to bottom, left to right.
Hope that helps?

The most confusing part to me is this hint: "Items will never overlap."
Too many possibilities for what that could mean and none of them have made much sense to me yet.
(Unless it's just worded strangely and that's only meant to mean one item per character.)
