i'll have to add a disclaimer that it's subject to change though for games that went free (steamgifts free) since it's last update, but that should be understood by most anyways. ^^

mhh, i won't be doing dig point pricing though, that one changes to frequently to keep up with. sorry. but the free tag should remain constant. (at least as long as free games aren't to be gifted here)

i haven't forgotten about this, i just didn't have the time i thought i would across last week.. i should be able to get to this project in the next couple of days though. ^^

the purpose can be a lot of different answers really. most commonly ranging from just being genuinely generous, to selfishly wanting to level up or have some other form of personal gain (profile appearance / attention, personal advertisement, or other), or even any combination between the two.

personally i think the more variety of options to giveaway games, the better. others would probably be far better at suggestions, but the one thing i think would be most important is a very clear cut and clearly visible set of rules for it, no matter what rules you decide to implement.

People will always like to optimize whatever gauge/measurement system you give them.
For gifters : give them giveaway levels, they will want to maximize them, have social badges, have attention, have reciprocal pleasure in the act...
For receiver : No need to try to understand whole underlying psychology, imho... apart one part. Uncertainty on rewards is the most powerful tool to keep users (humans... and animals too) addicted... (giveaways, gambling, random loots in all modern AAA/indie games...)

I think d3m4n covered it for the most part. For me, I just like to make people happy. Everybody loves to win a prize, and if I can make some strangers happy for a few pennies, why wouldn't I? :) Yeah, of course I could give these pennies to charity (I do that as well), but this is more fun...

According to the dev DIG will refund it. But you can get also a replacement key by the dev.

that is one thing that exo is rather slow about. games that get revoked by devs seem to take a while to be removed from the storefront. i honestly am not sure he knows about them is all. sure, the developer said to contact DIG for a refund, but 9/10 times i'm the one that tells exosyphen there is a problem and it's taken care of within a day after i notify him.

you'd be surprised how fast things get done if he actually gets told about them via his support email, rather than people talking about it here. =)
