Do you actually play the games you win? (GA inside)
I'm going for "One does not simply play games". I mean, putting my backlog aside, I just don't have the time right now. I'm finishing college, and with internships plus thesis, theres barely enough time to play anything, or to start a new game. I usually play 1+ hours a day, at night when I'm not so tired that i just fall on my bed and sleep like a log, an that is AFTER working on the thesis, mind you. I even won a giveaway for a game i had months wanting to play it, but i haven't even got the time to download it (One of this days, Cherry Tree High, One of this days...!)
So I'll TRY to play, finish them and enjoy every single moment of it, but I guess I'll have to wait 'tll I graduate. In the mean time, I guess I'll keep hoarding games and (trying to) win giveaways.

Every entry is for a game I either already like and want to play or is a game I think I would like and want to play. Once I win, I play everything. Due to time and other issues I haven't given the amount of time to every game that it deserves, but I make the effort to at least have a try out and eventually I will play it to death.

I am behind on my list but I have completed 100% the first game I won here and the first game I got on steam. Now I must 100% my most recent win, I want to play a game... (But "One does not simply play games." wins because one does not simply do anything.)

I get distracted too easily, and rarely play more than one game at the time.
Add the fact that any long game takes at least a week and I ended up with a massive backlog.
I estimate that playing all the stuff in my library (including the games I won here) could take my at least a few years... if I stop getting new games, and that's not likely.
So I'm not entering your giveaway because I can't promise to play it this year.

SteamGifts 2.0 will actually rename to SteamCollectors 3.0 and basically only like 5 people will be allowed on the site to show off their huge collection of games to everyone else because every giveaway will require you to be friends with said five people, but you never will because nobody likes you.

I didn't realize how bad I was at playing my wins until I just looked back at my list. My problem is the need to finish games 100% so I'm buying/winning new games much faster than I can complete the ones I already own.

I play them, unless I have technical issues that prevent me. Before I enter any giveaway, I always ask myself whether I would play this game right away and if I wouldn't, I don't enter the giveaway. I don't mind if my winners are collectors, though - I understand that just owning something can be happy-making. It IS very cool if they do enjoy playing them though.

I have at least tried all of them (except of course for Alone in the Dark: Illumination which is not yet released). Of course, there are some that I didn't enjoy as much as I thought I would, and I didn't play them as much as I would have liked. Others have had some decent playtimes or at least I've promised myself to come back to that game later on.

my rate is terrible, i have to confess. i think i've only played about 5 out of the games/dlc that i've won. as you and others have said, its for a multitude of reasons: waiting to complete a series before playing it, being stuck with a PC that's unable to play them, backlog, finding the perfect moment for playing them, lack of time, wanting to finish old games before starting new ones, etc.
but i did promise myself, as a personal goal, that i will eventually get around to playing and beating all of them. (unless they suck COUGH day one garry's incident COUGH)
sometimes i try to finish games faster if they dont take so long to finish - since my latest win took roughly 2 hours to finish i installed it immediately then beat it not too long after.
and because of this i dont judge my winners either - would be INCREDIBLY hypocritical of me ;P

So generally I try to play what I win, since I only enter for games I think I might enjoy or seem interesting. Indeed, I had for a while managed to play just about every game I'd won. Then for a while I wasn't playing games, then when I was, I had a hard time focusing on any single game and just kept hopping around from game to game, etc.
Lately, I've been having a pretty good winning streak, and I noticed that I hadn't even played most of the stuff I'd won in the last year and this steamgifts backlog was growing quickly. I started wondering whether or not others played the games they win here. So I looked at the winners of my previous giveaways and was disheartened to see that most of them hadn't been played at all, and of the few that had, most of those had barely been played at all. Specially since, excepting my first two GAs, I try to only give away games I consider decent at least, even if they might be bundled and/or cheap. And they'd had a year to play them.
Now, I'm not judging them. I only looked at the one game they had won from me. It's entirely possible that it's just a coincidence, and they do tend to play most of their wins. Or they have valid reasons, such as waiting to complete a series before playing it, being stuck with a PC that's unable to play them, and so on. I myself have many of the same reasons for a few wins of mine. And then we all have huge backlogs nowadays. Anyway, this is not about judging, I don't like judging.
So, I've started prioritizing playing some of my unplayed wins and I'm finding that it's actually a decent motivator when faced with a huge backlog. Just thought I'd share my feelings and find out what other people think and/or do.
If you got through that wall of text, then there's a reward for you, but only if you will play it in the near future.
