Hi there, I purchased a Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions from a g2a seller but the moth@!f#u@*er put a code for The Amazing Spider-Man Retail (RU) instead which was activated even being my account placed in Europe.
So obviously I have made a dispute to the seller so I can get refunded but I'm also worried about the activation since the region lock things and steam policies, what should I do? delete the game asking steam support to do it?

Okay, im confused and a bit
lets say I buy 007 Legends which is region locked and activate it through VPN; are you sure the region lock disappears after some time or how does this works exactly?
sorry if im asking sthg incredibly obvious

Pleasure man :)
Afterfall Insanity is an awesome game and the DLC basically adds an arena but it is a lot of fun to play through as well.
The "sequel" episode game isn't as good and is in black and white? But hey it's a sequel in a sense so if you liked the first you will want to play the sequel.

I got a Russian Key for Deadpool, but haven't a clue how to redeem it
I've had it for multiple years now, had no issue redeeming Amazing Spider-Man 1/2 with a Russian Key
But Deadpool straight up refuses to unlock, anyone got any ideas that work still in 2024?
Sorry for necroing a 5 year old thread!

does that not require them to have a valid payment method like credit card from Russia (or wherever they want to change it to) and even then if they want to change the account back would it still work?
Comment has been collapsed.
yep, a valid payment method is a must and it has to be any cis country apart from russia (russian cards won't work due to sanctions). you can easily find services to do so but i think that does break steam's terms of service
and you can change the region again after roughly 3 months

why pay 1k or 3k for a game thats dead ?!a game that used to be 60$ max!!! just dowload it from an Abandonware game site , its not like you're strealing it lol
Comment has been collapsed.
yeah make sense but still , since the game is dead and no one is making money off out it , why give 1k+ to a scalper that abusing the "nostalgia factor" and not just download it for free ?!!

I'm lucky enough to have it on disc, but a steam copy would still be nice.

It's one of the most valuable (if not THE most valuable) delisted Steam game ever. You can still buy a disc copy for XBox 360 or PS3, though those'll look quite bad on a modern display unless you have a Retrotink 4K or other high end upscaler w/good CRT filters.
That said, if you do want to go the abandoneware route, there are fan-made online servers for the game still: https://amax-emu.com/
EDIT: You could also look into getting a physical copy for PC if you have a disc drive, those seem to be fairly cheap still.

I own a copy for PC, don't know if they are still sold though.

Thanks everyone for helpful comments. I know the game is expensive as hell because sadly these so called traders somehow manage to get it from private sellers for a "low" price and then they want more then double the profit which is not fair. I mean it's not fair to charge for the game even more then a 100$ but I was thinking maybe someone knows a private seller or someone who has it in their inventory who won't ask a kidney for it. The reason why I want it on steam is because I am a steam diehard, sure it sounds stupid but I love having everything on steam.
However, it seems that I might just take the best advice that everyone has been giving me everywhere which is to just download the game for free, since I can't come to term with these traders as I tried to offer them around 1 grand already but they are so greedy that it's not enough for them.
One trader in specific (I am not gonna name him) actually has 5 Blur gifts in his inventory and he isn't ready to lower the price at all). It's just sad to see that "cool" games that are removed for licencing reasons are now treated like pieces of real art and gold and it isn't fair to any average gamer who just wants to enjoy them. I even told them, any removed game I am looking to buy, if ever, I wanna buy to play and enjoy myself, I have no interest in selling or trading to someone else. Makes no difference to them...

Some pricey things those removed games tend out to be once they get, well, removed. Going high as a grand, some titles like Wolfenstein 2009 and Juiced 2 are quite a collector's dream at this point.
However, not every removed game is in that situation and more titles are becoming "purchasable" by us, common folk, by day thanks to grey market sites. I made this topic so I and everyone can list removed games sold in G2A, Kinguin and everywhere else in a good quantity for a good price. Alongside, lets list restrictions, recommendations to purchase those and whatever more we can.
Here's a current table of what removed games from Steam can be purchasable and their restrictions:
For HRK users, GunballJoens has a handy list of prices there for some of those games. Check it out.
