I want to gift a game to someone so here what'll do - i'll add to my friend list the winner, buy the game as a gift and give it to him/her directly from the store.so we don't have it taking dust in my inventory for a month

p.s. i'll be playing this too so i'll ask your opinion and i would like to see your creations - this game is intriguing as enviromental issues are, in my opinion, something we should start consider a bit more :)

Thanks for the giveaway ^^, wanting to become a game developer for indie games and such (already made a few with some friends for game jams). Love the concept, it seems unique and has a mellow and relaxed feel to it which is nice to play after a long day at university.

Now that's an interesting game. As someone who was once wanted a career in the building and interior design field. This bring back a lot of memory. Now I feel like playing on AutoCad to see if I still remember any of the commands

i agree to some extend, for example in my native language "love" is not used while talking just with friends, as I consider you all. i would never say "I love you" to my friend, we use "love" only for well basically SO or mum and dad

I see you edited it out so I deleted my comment. Yes, English is a weird language so I can see why non-native speakers would have trouble with it. Native speakers have trouble with it haha.

Hello,
I'd like to enter as well, please. :) I just found out about the game a couple of days ago when I saw it in the featured items of the store and added it to my wish list right away. The art style looks creative and different and the whole idea of building something in that scale entices me.
Thanks for the chance no matter what. :)

Just so you know, there is no waiting time on sending gifts if you send them directly through Steam.

Your Inventory > Select Gift > Select "Send Gift" > Choose "Email" or "Directly Through Steam" > Type Your Message > Click on "Send"

Yeah the 30 day limit only applies to the trade window system; email bypasses the limit.

Wow Khalaq, you know you just made my day with that?

I had given up on ever gifting anything but keys with the new delays. (15 day delay doesn't match with SG 7day-rule)
So thanks for pointing out I can still buy gifts :)

You're welcome. )

I rarely gift anything other than Steam gifts (about 90%), so I use that function a lot. Trading is still a major pain, but gifting is fairly simple. There are a few kinks you sometimes have to work around (such as if someone already owns the game you're trying to gift them), but email usually gets around that.

what about using it to showcase something cool, if the "making a game" is not a requirement? otherwise get inspiration from it ;)

"1.2 games check: if you own only AAA games and your favourite game is call of duty, i kinda doubt you would even touch this indie game with a 5m stick"

Thanks for the bigotry, always nice to see on a Saturday morning.

You do understand Block'hood is just another city builder clone. A genre that is very well represented in the AAA stratosphere.

I see your point but it was specifically pointed at players whit only those kind of games... if you could check my xbox account, I mostly play Halo 5 there, but here I play quite a few types of games. if you ONLY play fps or big mainstream game, 99.99% chances are you will never care about this game, am I right or not?

And the fact that is a city builder clone is not even relevant. anyway if you wish to play it please enter http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/qEPDv/blockhood

Sorry, I may of come across a little harsh this morning.. My main gripe was the stigma that if you play CoD, you're either a 10 year old or an uncultured oaf. I love CoD, I also love indie games. :-p

Definitely interested. Environmental themes show promise, though I've yet to see them turned into interesting mechanics (games like Minecraft or incrementals should be in a privileged position?). The game looks ace (Devolver, they've got a good eye, right?), I like indies and I like builders (60+ hours logged in Banished). I can assure that's the next game I'll play if I get chosen, but I'll be fully honest: can't guarantee I'll like or stick for a long time with a game I've never played before (the lack of a pause button concerns me). Either way, I'm used to share what I think about the games I'm playing on a mostly daily basis, so if that would be enough to please you, I can write a Steam review.

Permalink

no worries! game is earlier access so adding a pause button is something we could request - actually we should. And due to this fact, playing an hour now and then playing 2 months later could hopefully have different outcome, since they should be updating it :)

That I'll do, thanks! From the few reviews I had a chance to browse, it seemed that it being not pausable was a design decision and that it can get a little frantic. I'm a bit hit or miss with games like that, the last such game I've played was Space Run and it would get a little overwhelming at times, however there the problem is lessened by the missions always playing out the same way. But I had very little time to check on it, so hopefully I'm wrong.
