So let's start some interesting topic. It's question time.

What's game you really can't wait to play?

Are you waiting for yet unreleased game or you want to get your hands on game that's already released?

It would be nice to hear explanation for your answer :).

Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Okay, true be told I still need to buy Splinter Cell: Conviction for PC. But in my defense I had it for Xbox and got RROD before I finished it!

Hehe. Did you play older Splinter Cell games, I loved those (first three at least never got to play double agent).

Meh they won't make it :P. They are going to go full Valve on us with ME series. They have their Battlefield that's same like Valve's hats. So yeah. I don't want to hope too much.

Rome II: Total War (or as they insist on titling it, Total War: Rome II) because it's the remake of the unequivocally best game in what was once my favorite game series. I haven't played a Total War game since Creative Assembly stole my money with the mess that was Empire and then tried to make me pay full price again to get a functional version of the same game with Napoleon.

That or Dragon Age III because a small part of me wants to believe that there is something redeemable left in the shambling husk of Bioware.

I love your comment on Dragon Age :). I can't say I hated ME3, because I loved it for the most part especially how emotional decisions were, and DA: O awakens nostalgia in me. I hope EA won't mess with Bioware too much, they used to be awesome ;'(.

You really loved Bioshock infinite? Do you think it's better than original Bioshock?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I wouldn't say it's better but just because it's different. I think BioShock and BioShock: Infinite are both amazing and extraordinary games. It was definitely better than BioShock 2 though. It's certain that it's been a looooong time since I've had so much fun with any game that I had with BioShock: Infinite.

I agree with you Bioshock and Infinite are really good games.

I enjoyed Bioshock Infinite and I wish I could get it on my PC, at least friend gave me chance to play it. But I have to say that story has that going in circle thing in the end (if you know what I mean I don't want to spoil it for others) and it makes me feel like it's "cheap" plot device that everyone is using these days. But they do have really Shocking endings, both games.

In the end? I'd say it's in the middle of the game. Yeah, it's definitely the weakest point of the game but it didn't really bother me at all. I just love the gameplay, exploration, fights and story. The only thing I hate is that it's so damn easy. On hard it feels like on easy. And I'm playing on the 1999 Mode now and it's not much harder either. Oh well, gotta get used to easy games nowadays :(

Yeah I agree with that it was easy on Normal for me, and I miss exploration from original Bioshock. Here you could explore but there wasn't map just annoying point me in "right direction" arrow. It feels streamlined.

Yeah but the exploration was still there. It could have been more "open" though.

It's nice to see someone who likes Vita for a change. It's shame there aren't enough games for Vita. Maybe they will cut price and I might get it, problem is I don't see enough games for poor Vita, correct me if I am wrong but I didn't follow it way too much :(.

It's true there aren't too many games out at the moment. Most of the criticism isn't because the hardware is bad but because the price for the console and the memory cards is too high for a device with such a small library of games, but with the massive sales spike in Japan (outselling the 3ds) and hopefully a price drop over here, added to a great line-up for this year (New binding of Isaac, lone Survivor, Hotline Miami, the games named above, a spin off Bioshock game in the works and many more) will get this excellent piece of hardware into more homes which will get developers interested. You should pick one up, I don't regret buying mine because I think it is by far the best handheld ever made =]

It probably is best handheld but it didn't start off with good software support. I was disappointed with Uncharted when I saw reviews. :( There might be some life in Vita especially with price drop, but they already wasted a lot on marketing :.

It's getting there, Sony needs to start supporting the console more though and roll out updates globally and not the way they are doing it atm. I'm still waiting for PS Mobile in Ireland =/

Project: Eternity,
Torment: Tides of Numenera,
Sui Generis,
Republique,
The Witcher 3,
Cyberpunk 2077,

I would like some good funded, western fantasy, not "silly" "cartoony", etc p2p virtual world mmorpg without microtransactions (at all) as well - althrough it seems nothing like this is one the way :/

That's really interesting taste you have, but it's probably too expensive and risky for developers to make that kind of game. Especially these days where everyone thinks that Horse Armor is best DLC ever, if you know what I mean ;).

Comment has been collapsed.

Thanks. There are few more games I have on my radar - some strategy ones as well - althrough I tried to keep my list short, anyway if I haven't listed them then I guess they're not 'most anticipated' by me heh

As for an mmorpg's - yeah I know, that's why I am not playing them anymore - their current design is really not what I look for + microtransaction based revenue models are really huge fun killer for me.

Sadly microtransaction + always online server based DRM creeps into single player /non-mmo multiplayer games as well :/
Well fortunatelly there are still games without shit like this, althrough if current trends will expand too much - it may drive me from gaming completly :|

Actually excited:

  • Mirror's Edge 2.

Sort of excited:

  • Day Z
  • Wasteland 2
  • Torment: Tides of Numenera
  • Fez (PC soon, finally!)
  • PAYDAY the Heist 2

Might be good:

  • Mew-genics
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Watchdogs
  • Project: Eternity
  • Republique
  • Remember Me

Everything in the "might be good" part isn't part of a series developed by credible people. They're new things (sometimes by new teams) which may or may not turn out to be what we hope for. The others will be great if they at all resemble what they're supposed to resemble. That's my rationale, just to explain.

It's funny how they run out of historical periods and now they are going back to Rome. Just kidding btw, it's shame I never got into strategy games well other than old RTS like (Stronghold Crusader, Rise of Nations, C&C Red Alert 2 and Age of Mythology). Good old times.
