I would have agreed with this had it not stopped me progressing from a certain point. Never could be bothered to restart.

At first, I dismissed Blood Dragon because I'm usually not that much into science fiction, but eventually picked it up because it was cheap. I'm so glad I did, it's definitely my favorite FC title ever. Cheesy, tongue-in-cheek, full of pop culture reference, what's not to love? I wish Ubisoft would make another one like that.

I've checked FC6 and it has 4 different editions! They have completely lost it.

I agree in that 3 is a great game. I still have to play to 4 and 5.

How does one compare Farcry 1 with Doom3?
I played and finished both. They are not even in the same genre.

Cozy familiarity can actually be a selling point, I played 3, Blood Dragon and Primal so far, have the 2nd to be played, and I'm pretty sure I'll get at least 4 as well, and who know which one else ^^

Only very few Ubisoft games in general have achievements on Steam, mostly the newer ones but even then not all of them. And: yes, none of the Far Cry games does.

Over the last 10 years or so, I've found myself buying more Ubisoft games for my Playstation than even PS exclusives. No achievements aren't a massive deal breaker for me, but having them does add a bunch of replay value, especially in open-world games with lots of objectives and collectables. Massive dick move for Ubisoft not to include them on Steam. Microsoft, Sony, and hell even EA are cool with it, though I guess if you go back a ways there are a decent amount of EA games that don't have them.
