Dayz Standalone: Will you buy it?

Try launching Operation Arrowhead, and then filtering for Wasteland servers. It's like DayZ but without the Zombies and adding in some neat BaseBuilding features

Just gotta find some good servers, y'all. Also, use PlayWithSix. Play on CA 20, 24, 25, and Braindeath 1, 2, & 3. That's six good servers with active admins.

It's not out yet, so the current plan is no. As with all games, I assume it's trash until I know better. I can't know better until it exists.

I could assume that it's as good the mod (which I can't play), but that would be silly of me. Ace of Spades is an example of why that would be silly.

You should play Arma multiplayer as well, it's a ton of fun playing skirmish missions and getting helicopters or jets and fucking shit up. I've put at least 24 hours into it and that's the reason I'm not annoyed that I got ARMA when there was a standalone coming out

I played the mod a fair bit, eventually got tired of getting murdered. But when the standalone comes out I'll probably pick it up, as long as it's 20 bucks or less. It looks seriously improved.

No way. I already have The Dead Linger. I don't need a zombie game that forces multiplayer death matches, where you can't enter most buildings, and (if the mod is any indication) no melee weapons.

And of course the zombies being pushovers.

Then again, I read that the maker of the mod made it to be frustrating. I'd rather play a game designed to be fun, even if it is hard.

And I don't personally mind bad graphics and in development games. It is fun watching a game being made.

Standalone intends to make every building accessible. The mod does have melee weapons.

I'm not sure if I'm going to buy it or not myself, but these aren't very fair or accurate criticisms.
