So it's Erdogone now? Hope there won't be any casualties resulting from this, there's been too many lately.

Hehe, he isn't near the events anyway. He is in Bodrum and he'll probably get away just in time.

And I've also heard that they're currently making a new constitution.

I really hope that Erdoğan has to face the same consequences as Morsi (Egypt) or Ceauşescu (Romania). ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Erdogan tried to land in Constantinople, but his request got declined, and he's trying to land in Germany.

I'm not a fan of Erdoğan and I wouldn't be heartbroken if something unfortunate happened to him. But my main concern is that the Turkish people don't end up suffering - I wish them the best.

NEWS:
Military took over the TRT ( Turkish National TV Channel ), and made an announcement saying this was a COUP and those who are responsible for the misguidance of government will be judged and people will be kept safe at all costs.
Military declared curfew.
And our president Erdogan said everyone should go to streets to show military how we should protect our government. It looks like he is trying to start a civil war.
Also ATM's are going down one by one, everyone is trying to withdraw money right now and I only have 5$ cash.
Soldiers and F16's are fighting with POLICE of the country (Police is known for their loyalty to the government, most people call them "government's dogs"). I saw a jet spraying in front of the palace.
I'll keep you posted but internet is extremely slow and it can go down in any minute. I just hope it succeeds, it's the only chance of this country ...
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey i am sorry for what is happening to your country. Do you wish for Erdogan to go down eventually i have many turkey friends in wow and they talk shit about him atm i cant find any online to ask waht is going on... any civilians got injured ?
Comment has been collapsed.
Not yet, every Erdoğan supporting channel is saying everyone should go to streets to stop soldiers. There are videos of bearded islamic ignorants jumping over the tanks, soldiers are extremely careful not to hurt anyone even though they DO hurt the soldiers.
Erdoğan literally calls everyone upon to attack the soldiers, he never cares about the safety of civilians.
Comment has been collapsed.
i am worried for my friends 3 of them live at Instabul where the events started and 4 of them at your capital dunno if they are near where Erdogan lives or not but i was online in the guild with them when they all went down
Comment has been collapsed.
It's mostly on Ankara, our capital where the ministers are. The military would never harm innocents unless they attack them so everyone seems safe for now. Ironically, Erdoğan supporters attacked some reporters in Istanbul because they "support" military though they were from a channel known for their loyalty to the government.
Those who stay in home should be safe, just don't go outside.
Comment has been collapsed.
I am sure they are smart enough to stay home and since they hate the Erdogan they wouldnt go out to fight for him Thanks m8 i was worried a lot

Honestly that was my first thought, "What kind of leader uses civilians as pawns to protect his power so directly?" Too many throughout history I'm afraid :/ He ought to have told everyone to stay indoors or shelters somewhere...not run out into the streets and get caught in a crossfire of the military and govt/police forces >.>
Stay safe friends.

Lets hope that they will only take the power away from the current dictator and let the people through democracy to chose someone new as quick as possible, My parents lived under martial law in greece many years ago and they talk shit about it

Yep, junta was really shitty, so let's hope that it won't happen in Turkey too. :/

He's connecting to TV programs with Skype Video, from an extremely safe area and saying everyone should go to streets and attack soldiers to regain our democracy.
He doesn't care about the safety of civilians at all, he counts on them getting hurt so he can use it against the military to gain more support.

Hes actually sending people out to get killd ... literally .
Knowing how people have been on edge past months cause of the constant bombings ... just a little confrontation can turn really ugly .

The world is going to shit lately ... Terrorists bombings isis ... now that shit .
I feel like there has been more bad shit happening in the past 3-4 years compared to the whole 90s ...
And things seem to only get worse .
Tho to be fair , Erdogan losing his position may not be a bad thing ...

It's sad to say & maybe a bit soon but it's something the world has to go trough. 10-30 years from now this moment we live in will be viewed as a shift in geopolitical power. Since technology has spread around the globe trough internet, cellphones, advanced transport etc., the countries that were dominant before have been losing international power & some countries that were powerless/exploited in the past seem to be catching up with the rest of us. I'm quite sure eventually we'll know who was behind Isis & all this chaos around the globe because of our advancement in technology false flags are easily debunked trough evidence. The only thing I fear is that in the not so distant future all of this will lead to racism & discrimination & it's being spread rapidly trough social media just as the Isis ideology.

But is the country divided? Because I know alot of Turkish ppl that support Erdogan, but I can't imagine starting a coup without the peoples support.

I find it hard to believe it's "massive" opposition. Censoring media happens everywhere tho, you just don't hear it about your own country. ;) #FreeAssange

Please try Steam, Snapchat and WhatsApp apparently they are still up in Turkey. If you have any friends you know in Turkey urge them to stay indoors and stay safe through those, no matter what you believe in, the first responsibility you have is to yourself and your loved ones. Please stay safe ♥♥♥

They doesn't have the support from army, Turkish Army Force says they are small group, and all those Martial Law reports are fake. Also, coup only in 2 city? They won't succeed and this will be only bad for us, Turkish people. I hope everything will be settled soon.

Atm it can be vague to separate lies from truths in official statements, i hope civilians wont suffer at all no matter what the outcome is

Citizens responded to Erdoğan's call, they're all on the streets military falls back in order to keep civilians safe. Military isn't well-organized, everywhere is AKP members (Erdoğan's party supporters), it looks like military is falling back.
Military removed the soldiers from Atatürk Airport. There seems to be massive organizational errors and everyone says coup won't succeed. It'd end up in a bloodbath if it fails ...
