I would say don't make a shit game if you don't want to get it to get criticized then. If you are a developer/publisher it comes with the territory. Any creative work is open to judgment and critique. Some handle it better than others.

I mean, there are a lot of idiot developers on Steam too. But let's not pretend that the Steam community isn't a giant turd. Come on.

Well, it's not like the Steam community is good or anything, so I can understand leaving if you're a sensitive person and you realise it's better for you. It's still a personal fault--if you make a game (or anything creative), you need to be able to accept criticism, and what's more, if you charge for it, people are entitled to be quite vitriolic if the game is shit, as it appears to be (obviously this excludes anything threatening).

The childish part is the manner of his leaving. He should have posted something mature that explained his decision, not the equivalent of "gamers are shit and you're all losers". That is simply immature and unprofessional in any industry. This type of behaviour is a black mark on someone's reputation and I assume he removed the announcement because an actual adult pointed that out to him.

This is not even touching on the truly wrong part, which is that everyone who bought this apparently broken game will no longer get support for it and has no hope of any update that will fix it. Again, mature adults don't rage-quit on their responsibilities.

I played the game for a few levels and I don't think it was horrible. It's like Zombie Shooter but worse.

-has only 1 weapon
-repetitive
-has only one enemy with different colors
-character walks too slow
+fine music
+atmosphere is okay (mostly because of the music)
