As of now it's probably the DS remake followed by RE2 remake. Both Dead Space and Resident Evil are series dear to me, due to the mix of action with survival horror., even with some of the weaker titles present in both franchise that appear due to trying to modify the formula too much.

I love playing those games, the moment of shock and fear that you get when their respective undead scare you before the satisfaction you eget on unloading your bullets into the same creature and watch them drop dead, properly this time.

Not a big horror gamer, but I liked F.E.A.R when it first can or cos I was big into FPS back then. Amongst more recent ones, Call of Cthulhu (2018) would be on my picks.

Little miss fortune, I played it knowing I would cry but yeah haha! second though is defiantly the forest, just so much fun getting your balls scared off with friends lol! Also still gotta finish control, just gets hard for some reason :(

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard - It was hype when it came out + pre-release puzzles were. And the latest is Lethal Company, And games where you have to look for paranormal things. I'm sorry, I can't remember any of them. I remember the last game was where you had to drive the camera forwards backwards and look for what was wrong. Another one where the train, then the underground there were two parts. The first was the station corridor and the second was the train. They were really scary sometimes.

Fatal Frame (2001), because I don't think there is anything scarier than searching for your missing sibling in a dark haunted mansion with nothing but a camera to defend yourself with against the very spooky Japanese ghosts.

My favourite horror game is Amnesia: The Bunker. I like the gameplay, atmosphere and the setting of WW1.

If you're talking pure horror it's probably Outlast, nothing matches the camcorder / bodyhorror / jumpscares of the first game and I find myself (more often than I'd like) thinking about replaying it. If Psychological Horror applies then probably OMORI and Mouthwashing. Strongly recommend!

Silent Hill 2, 3, 4 because of gameplay, setting, soundtrack and characters. And also because of nostalgia... PS2, high school, good old times

Probably Doom 3. I remember playing it years ago late into the night and early into the morning being on the edge of my seat for some of the jump scares. Also, the Half-Life series (not sure if it's considered horror, although some parts of the story line were pretty horrific) which was quite enthralling.

Dead by Daylight, because it never gets boring and you can play it with others. :)

One of the OGs: Amnesia The Dark Descent! I actually am a huge chicken shit when it comes to horror games. But so is my friend. So to conquer our fears, we decided to play horror games together, taking turns when one's blood pressure got too high. 😆
I still have fond memories of Amnesia. My buddy was living in an apartment at the time and the neighbours complained because we were being too loud screaming. 😂
Since then, we've finished a bunch of the Amnesia and Resident Evil games. :)

Favorite one is Dead Space, have played some horror games until now but some of those had experiences like being familiar with the enemy - at first I got freaked out, but after a few encounters I ended up saying "You again?" Dead Space was different, with the progress in game the horror kept lingering. Maybe with the advent of new enemies, but it was the same system as in original Doom 3. Maybe it was the changing atmosphere? Anyway, sad thing there is no Dead Space 3. (There must not be such a game which insists to be the 3rd one, with the sliding action in it, no way.)

Hmmm favourite horror game. Not really that much of a horror game, but going by most fun had and most hours played Lethal Company. Has the horror tag, though would not really call it horror. Also adore the Little Nightmare games. Currently playing Sons the Forest with friends, though maybe also not that much of a horror game (Though some cannibals definitely jump scared me a bit lol xD). Played and liked Phasmophobia as well.

This year played some of the dark picture games. Decently enjoyed Little Hope, House of Ashes, The Quarry and Man of Medan. Still have to play Devil in me one day.

Bad with scary stuff if it has a lot of jumpscares, but trying to branch out more to horror games.

Loved the 1st Dead Space even though it took me really long to finish because 2scary4me ;3

I don't like horror games, but if I have to choose, I'll go with old The Thing (that game gave me creeps and trust issues in my teammates XD)...

Easily The Evil Within 2, it has the best horror game story, the best setting, the best gameplay (cool boss fights with multiple stages, secrets to avoid boss fights and make them easier too, collectibles everywhere to learn more about what happened in the city you are in and also collectibles to get helpful boosters for you (or useless ammo) and very interesting allies/people you meet that are stuck with you basically).

And yet.... it's bethesda's franchise that nobody cares about for some reason... Well, maybe 3 people like me do :p

Alone in the Dark from the early 90s has to be my absolute favourite horror game. I loved playing it back then, mainly because it was really innovative and absolutely ground breaking for its time.

By now I basically avoid horror games and tend to play more relaxing stuff. This old geezer needs to chill while playing. 😋

It's probably Alien: Isolation, the thing is, I really hate playing horrors, my anxiety spikes really high and it's just a terrible time for me, weirdly, it only happens with horror games, no other kind of horror media. Alien: Isolation is one of the very few horror games that I managed to finish and actually enjoy quite a lot. Many probably don't even really consider it much of a horror game.

probably the original Resident Evil 3 because it was the first horror game i ever played as a kid back in 1999(yes a kid,we dont care about age ratings on games in the balkans 🤣)
Nemesis was an absolute nightmare and Jill was such a badass. everyone loves Leon from the RE series but my favorite is Jill, I hope we see something new with her from capcom.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice for me is the best. Some might say it's not horror, but to each his own :)
The setting, the atmosphere, the acting, you're immersed in the psychological violence proposed by the game, I really loved everything about it.
I still haven't played the second one, I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. to be continued.

afraid I'm not much for horror
State of Decay 2 is probably the closest thing to horror I have played. I really liked the community management and the character perks/progression were good

I am not a big fan of horror games but System shock when it came out many moons ago was quite scary for me. An AI on the rampage might end up mimicking something coming in the near future as a possibility. Now that's a scary thought!

Dying Light , some zombies are hiding in the closet .

Favorite horror game: Has to be resident evil.. not because it's the best.. but because of it's longevity. It's been around since my early gaming days and is still strong today. Lots of great memories playing this game.
