For me this would have to be Darkest of Days, had it on Xbox awhile back. Have never heard it mentioned by ANYONE, so weird. A good game, altho I let someone borrow it then moved away right after I got it :P. Working on trying to get it on PC now, would really enjoy finishing the campaign. What about you guys? Are there any games you think are amazing, but have somehow noticed seem to not exist?

BEST! I wish Bullfrog got to finish 3. It's an amazing game, but I'd love to see it modernized.

Overlord series had some of that flavor to it. Not the base building so much though.
Evil Genius definitely has a similar feel, but in a james bond / austin powers style genre rather than fantasy.

I definitely have a point of trying that one. I just dont like the lack of skirmish mode. Two different evil geniuses making their base in the same plot of digging space for multiplayer things.

Unless it does have that, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am unaware of any MP aspect. It may have been modified since there is an online community and it was released on steam. The single player mode was a lot of fun though. Definitely has that tongue in cheek feel of the first austin powers movie.

Yeah, but then there was EA shutting them down. EA ruined what was going to be a great game.

Not only that, but they rushed the release of DK2 into what Molyneux called "an incomplete game". I cant even imagine a 1999 game being any better.

I loved the first one. There was something gratifying about gutting an entire level just to make sure there wasn't anything secret hidden around.

I love star wars battlefront 2 but I guess since none of my friends know that game will remain between just me, my cousins and my brother. I still always play at my cousin's house on his ps2!

I was addicted to altitude for a week or so but none of my friends knew that game either.

And probably the first saints row. I loved that game but no one in my social circle was into it when it came out. Saints row 2 was a bit more popular but it was just me and a handful of my friends on the second one.

The original just cause when it first came out. A lot of people know the new one though so that one is different.

Red faction guerrilla was really good and not that known in my opinion.

Oh, god... yeah, there were some missions where the difficulty curve suddenly did a loop-the-loop, weren't there? Beat it twice, but that was it. My latest attempt had me stuck fighting three Romulan warbirds, if I recall.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

As far as I remember that's where I gave up as well. I tried several power distribution settings, the best by far was with maximum to engines, since you could outmaneuver the Warbirds a lot easier - but with three of them this was madness!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Engines to full, get away from the battle, keep them on one side of you as long as you can, letting just one section of your shields take the punishment. When one uncloaks, divert as much power as you can to weapons and charge for it, bombarding the single ship's cloak, then warp core into dust. Six quantum torpedoes down their throat ends with a lovely explosion. <3
